"The new series is said to focus on the two female detectives, Sasha Starsky and Nicole Hutchinson."
Guess they didn't learn from the female-lead re-boots of "Ghostbusters " or "Ocean's 11."

Hollywood, completely bereft of new ideas.
I’m looking forward to the reboot of Charlie’s Angels, with three flaming homo trannies solving crimes.

Perhaps they should change the name to Starsky and Butch

Not to mention the non-Barrymore “Charlies Angels”, and whatever “The 355” was supposed to be.

two female, non-binary, black, lesbian, immigrant, trans, SJW who put people in prison for mean tweets. Works for me.

Another worthless piece of crap with yet again female leads fighting crime and taking down 6’ 2” 220 men like they are weak sisters and the ladies have nary a scratch. HARD PASS!
The one movie I saw where it was more realistic was Atomic Blonde, she looked like she had been in a fight.

What's a "Fox"?
What's a "Starsky and Hutch"?
And why would I watch any reboot when the original left me cold?

Unless the lead character is black and the other is obese and gay it won’t be woke enough for today. One would think the woketards would excel in creativity, having thrown off the shackles of the oppressive heteropatriarchy, developing new and wondrous themes, and stories filled with awe. Instead they have to correct all the wrongly and hatefully written stories of the past.

Gee Sounds GREAT!
But, I really hope they focus on the whole back story and inter relationship conflicts more than actually catching bad guys!
Why do cop shows need now to focus not on police busting drug dealers. But instead on the main charachter’s mother in law? With her substance abuse iusses and her failing relationship with her cheating boyfriend?

When they air the inevitable episode where one or both is on a date, I betcha that Sasha or Nicole has a surprise for their unfortunate victim(s)...

The best would be if Starsky and Hutch could get sex changes on the show, and become female cops that way.
They could solve crimes as they transition and evolve their wardrobes accordingly.

Still miss Edward Woodward as The Equilizer. Loved that show. If I recall it got axed for Law and Order.

The reboot will be an instant fail but this reminds me of the original Starsky and Hutch episodes "The Set-Up: Part 1 and 2" from season 2 in January, 1977.
It's a really creepy thriller with a surprising twist at the end. Fits right in with today's world.

The female counterpart to Starsky and Hutch has already been done. It was called Cagney and Lacy.

One seems to recall Mad Magazine's parody as Harsky and Stutch, back in 1975 or whenever it was...
This one won't be any better...
