Can I buy property in China?
This was once enshrined in Oregon’s constitution.
Morning Maria reported from her border contacts that at the Rio Grand Crossing (ALONE), BP allows 30 mainland CCP /PLA connected Chinese to enter DAILY. Do the math.
Housing property...is fine....Commercial.....not so fine.
This applies to Red Chinese citizens, so why would Asian-Americans be concerned?
I do not believe you can buy property in Mexico without a Mexican citizen “partner” I think only citizens should be allowed property...get your citizenship...THEN buy some.
Agreed, and sorry for innocents, but I’d insist on an extreme background check that would feel like a colonoscopy of finances and communications with the homeland.
China —and many Chinese by extension—are not to be trusted as has been clearly demonstrated.
I have been told that if you buy property in Mexico, it has to be in the name of a Mexican citizen.
2 effin baaad!
You can’t just cherry pick countries like China, Russia, Iran and North Korea because they are so called enemies of the state. Many Chinese green card, permanent residents or here on a working visa are academic or short term on business. Buying up vast quantities of farmland near military installations is different.
NBC News can go Brandon itself.
Words from China is that CCP is happy in private about this news because it could prevent rich chinese from migrating to America
The better areas of Queens, NY are being bought up by Chinese buyers. This has been going on for several years. My downstairs neighbor in my co-op apartment building there used to get knocks on her door by Chinese strangers asking her, “You know of apartments for sale?” She would tell them, “Ask at the office.” What a chutzpah, to go around knocking on peoples’ doors. They were buying up every co-op apartment that came on the market, private homes in the surrounding neighborhood, etc. They were rapidly changing the character of the neighbor, and not for the good. In this pristine neighborhood, now you’d see Chinese men squatting in the lawn area in their pajamas (no robe), smoking a cigarette. One neighbor complained to me that her new Chinese neighbor was laying malodorous fish across the bushes to dry them. I saw a Chinese grandmother take the pants of her small granddaughter down in the middle of the lawn so she could relieve herself! One Chinese neighbor who moved in next door was using the window wells of our building to store used soda bottles before he collected enough to redeem, and it was drawing hordes of flies. He and his middle aged wife had also divided the living room of the 1-bedroom unit into several smaller rooms with floor to ceiling curtains. Each section contained 3 stacked beds. They tried to pass off the dozen 20-somethings they stuffed into their apartment as their own kids, when everyone knew they were running an illegal sublet. We got them thrown out. By now, I’ll bet the whole complex has been bought by Chinese. So glad I’m not there any more. My house down here is nearly complete in its remodeling and I have the best neighbors ever :) .
Foreigners are angry? Who cares. They can always go back to their nation.
Can I buy property in China?
Can I vote in Mexico?
The act in question, is not taking the opportunity to people that have become US citizens. And this is not the first time this has been done. It was done to the Japanese, to include citizens, and internship into camps during WW II.
