The cabbage family is quite varied and includes Brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, bok choy, kohlrabi and kale.

I've got some brussels sprouts in the fridge. I think I'll air-fry them tonight, with olive oil, garlic, salt & pepper.

Cabbage seems to last in the fridge a decently long time compared to other salad greens. I’ve been enjoying it this year chopped into salads or chopped for topping pozole, and also homemade coleslaw. I need to expand my recipes for it.

I put up my own sauerkraut when cabbage heads go on sale. I have a big brown German kraut that produces about 6 quarts. Nothing better for gut health than fermented food.

Ahhh, yes! Sauerkraut is the best! My grandma from Czechoslovakia used to make the best sauerkraut with pork roast and dumplings. Still a family favorite!
