A new study published in Nature Geoscience by geophysicists Yi Yang and Xiadong Song of Peking University in Beijing explored the nature of movement of Earth’s inner core, largely made up of iron and molten liquids. They found the inner core’s movement recently reduced enough they consider it “paused,” all part of what “seems to be associated with a gradual turning back of the inner core as a part of an approximately seven-decade oscillation.”
The last turning point was in the early 1970s.
The new study further tracked seismic waves through the core to see how they played out on the other side of Earth. “This globally consistent pattern suggests that inner-core rotation has recently paused,” the study says.
With the spin changing throughout the decades, the authors believe there’s an interplay between the spinning of the core and Earth’s mantle, and not just a spinning core for spinning’s sake.
“This multidecadal periodicity coincides with changes in several other geophysical observations especially the length of day and magnetic field,” the authors write. “These observations provide evidence for dynamic interactions between the Earth's layers, from the deepest interior to the surface, potentially due to gravitational coupling, and the exchange of angular momentum from the core and mantle to the surface.”

They keep forgetting the “relative to the crust”, which is very different.

Right, the inner core just happens to be spinning at exactly the same rate as the crust. If it stopped spinning altogether that would be a different kettle of fish (as in game over).
So these popular mechanics fail to grasp elementary physics.
Journalists don’t even grasp the language in which they presume they are writing.

Looks like Time’s Up! God is letting us know He is wrapping up this edition of humanity for the millenia. The Earth’s core stopped spinning, and a vortex opened over our North Pole this past week. After the data of our civilization is uploaded, we can expect a total wipe of our planet’s surface (if we don’t do it to ourselves over Ukraine).

We have had a very mild winter here in New England—and I keep telling my wife “I love global warming—bring on some more!”
Hopefully the inner core doesn’t want the Sun to cut off the crust.
So, Solar Flares, parts of the Sun exploding off of the surface, now the inner core of Earth changing direction.
It’s obviously Global Warming.
Well, it’s just going to have to stay that way. I can’t start digging until spring.

Easy fix. Just have everyone on earth start running in the same direction to spin up the earth’s rotation....
