Scientists ‘switch off’ autism symptoms using $3 epilepsy drug according to a new peer-reviewed study published in the Molecular Psychiatry journal.

Scientists are reporting a breakthrough discovery: A $3-per-pill epilepsy drug may be used to “switch off” autism symptoms in mice, according to a new peer-reviewed study published Tuesday in Molecular Psychiatry journal.

Autism spectrum disorder is a complex developmental condition that impacts how an estimated 5.4 million (2.2% of) adults — and one in 44 children — in the United States perceives and socializes with others. It is often accompanied by abnormalities such as epilepsy or hyperactivity, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data.

A team of experts at Germany’s Hector Institute for Translational Brain Research found that the medication lamotrigine — an anti-seizure drug first approved for use in the US in 1994 — was able to curb behavioral and social problems linked to the disorder.

Now, their findings are being hyped as the closest thing yet to a potential cure for humans.

“Apparently, drug treatment in adulthood can alleviate brain cell dysfunction and thus counteract the behavioral abnormalities typical of autism,” lead researcher and cellular biologist Moritz Mall said in a statement. “[This occurs] even after the absence of MYT1L has already impaired brain development during the developmental phase of the organism.”

Lamotrigine, which is sold under the brand name Lamictal, among others, is a medication used to treat epilepsy and stabilize mood in those who suffer from bipolar disorder.

The drug, which typically sells for just under $3 per pill, works by reversing changes to brain cells caused by a genetic mutation.

Scientists have spent years intensively searching for the molecular abnormalities that contribute to ASD and have identified MYT1L protein as one that plays a role in various neuronal diseases.

Expect this to be discredited and then in a few months a new improved version selling for $10,000 a year to be released.

Just wait until the “Anti-Abelist” Lobby finds out about this!
I have heard of families where both parents were deaf, they were born that way, and it could not be changed. They give birth to a child with the same defect, only now, in year 2023, this can be easily ‘fixed’. I’ve heard of such parents who will refuse to allow that child to get their hearing repaired, because then the child won’t be a part of the deaf community, and maybe the child won’t love them anymore. Sad, but believable.

My own research showed that the brain mutation happened during the third month of pregnancy. A shift in consciousness processing ability in the thalamus blocks amygdala processing and diverts it all intp the hippocampus. It’s a shift from feminine consciousness, normal for a developing child, prematurely to the masculine which normally happens around age seven.

It’s interesting as it often causes the person to turn their head to the left to optimize input from the right peripheral optical field into the left cerebral hemisphere, thus increasing comprehension.

It astonished me when I worked with a man with Asperger’s Syndrome his entire life, (He was 73) and his consciousness processing shifted immediately when we removed a trauma from his stored memories that actually happened while he was in his mother’s womb during neural tube development.

I would have expect no change after 73 years, but it did.

Consciousness is the major epigenetic influence. The traumatic memory was fifteen feet from his physical body in the outer perimeter of his soul, where all early childhood memories are stored for humans.

My son ha both Asperger’s and bipolar disorder. Anti-seizure drugs like lamotrigine are used to treat bipolar but he did much worse with it. Had my hopes up for a second.
