One of the few things I have not had the opportunity to eat yet. I know Cuy is good eating though.

Jackrabbit’s OK, I prefer cottontails. My wife won’t eat rabbit, though, so I very seldom shoot one these days.

Everything is edible. Even the venomous snake is edible. The snakes body had no venom in it. Probably tastes like chicken.

I’m fattening up a crop of squirrels in my backyard. A silenced .22, and I’ll be eating good until they introduce squirrel flu.

Squirrels helped win WWII. Farm boys who could shoot a squirrel in the head that is.

As a kid, I really disliked skinning squirrels.

Snake doesn’t taste like chicken, at least rattlesnake doesn’t. It tastes like snake.

Canadians don’t tailgate—so I’m guessing you are either from Wisconsin or an adjoining state.

Great story.

My bird feeder post has a squirrel guard cone mounted on it. It is hilarious watching the squirrels trying to climb the post to the guard location then jump down in frustration.

I thought this article was going to be about a new government program suggesting humane harvesting of squirrels and “ sustainability.

The park across the street from us has a ton of squirrels. Unfortunately, it’s in the city, and we can’t bag them.

I don’t think I could trap and kill them unless I’m really really hungry and all my prepper food had run out. Not because they are not good to eat but because they are so cute. We have been having fun for years talking about squirrels and their nests. The nests are portals which allow the squirrels to transport up to the mother ship. Think about it.

Squirrels and squirrel gumbo are a delicacy in Louisiana. When I married my first husband, he would regularly bring home 8-10 a week. (Red squirrels).
He used to suck the brains out of their little skulls after cooking them up!
