Tom Brady says they cause inflammation and avoids them.
I think they go well with steak or a nice rump roast

The other plants that are mentioned are solanaceae (nightshades). There is a long history of people saying they are unhealthy, but I'm not convinced. Mushrooms, I'm not sure why he includes those.

I think the research shows mushrooms aren’t going to prompt a gout attack.

Depending on the mushroom they can be very good for inflammation. Such ad Cordyceps, chaga and reishi.

The ones that grow in cow pies are pretty good.

Agree on Lion’s Mane and improved cognitive functioning. It’s very obvious to me when I run out and suddenly can’t recall vocabulary anymore. Think it gives a bit of a mood boost also.
It does not have a direct connection to any CNS neurotransmitter that I’ve seen. However, Lion’s Mane does lead to production of nerve growth factor and NGF is thought to increase serotonin in synapses.

“Project collaborator Dr. Dae Hee Lee noted that the properties of lion’s mane mushrooms had been used to treat ailments and maintain health in traditional Chinese medicine since ancient times.”
LOL! Hundreds of brands of these supplements already on the shelves. Proven effective at reducing extra weight from the wallet.
I hope my wife doesn’t see this article.

Doesn’t Lion’s Mane also help blood sugar?
To: nickcarraway
Good stuff. Thanks for posting. Looks like Lion’s Mane is easy to grow via kits. Will get one, see how it does.

I started with tincture, tried capsules to save money but didn’t work as well if at all, back to tincture.
