“The replacement of the extended family with the nuclear family was the beginning of the decay. Wish more people would realize that.”

______

Indeed! My parents lived only a couple miles from me and I was able to stop by frequently. In addition, they were always available for baby-sitting services. Dad passed away 20 years ago, but my Mom lived in that same house before passing away just a few months ago. One of my last pictures of her was her with my son, and her youngest great-grand-daughter on the occasion of that child’s third birthday. My son made a habit of taking each of his children to visit her on their birthday. She loved those visits!

My son and grandchildren live on the other side of our property. Close enough for them to take the well-worn path to our place, but far enough away for each of us to have our privacy. On-site child care is great for them and we love having the gkids here whenever they want to visit. My guest rooms have become the “boys’ room” and the “girls’ room”, complete with the toys they love and clothes in dressers so that no bag has to be packed for when they arrive on our door step to spend the night with Grandma and Poppa!

All she needs to do is find a single dad who is also looking for someone to help him raise his child.

It’s the no man on government assistance that gave us the problem in the first place. They make Aid to Families with Dependent Children contingent upon a man not being present in the home. The woman gets paid for having children with no father. If they required the man to be in the home there would be way more intact families. The present situation is exactly what the elites want. Dysfunctional children are easier to mold into good little communists.

“But my question is—is it intentional or is it an accent that some people pick up?”

I think people pick it up from other people, like thr “Valley Girl” fad. I’ve noticed that some guys do it, but as much as females, and they’re usually sporting man buns.

But when it comes to that Christine Blasey Ford at the Kavanaugh hearings... iI think it was intentional to make her appear childlike and innocent.

Whatever... it is ANNOYING!

“We saw a clip of some (alleged) high-IQ scientist and developer of AI giving a presentation recently. She did the vocal fry thing. The first time you do that, your credibility decreases by about 50%, IMHO.”

I knew a woman who had just gotten her Ph.D. and was applying for her first job. She spoke with the “upward” inflection at the end of her sentences. I suggested it would be to her benefit to stop doing that as it doesn’t sound professional. Instead of being grateful she took offense and became angry. The last I heard she was employed at a good University but at a lower position than I would expect for her years of service. I don’t know if the inflection has anything to do with that. Beware offering constructive advice to modern women.

Good grief.

I bet she puts more energy into whining, that trying to find someone who’ll spend their life with her.

“Instead of being grateful she took offense and became angry.”

Btw that is a great tip for young people to use on dates.

Offer constructive suggestions/tips and wait for the reaction.

Even if the person disagrees with your suggestion they should be polite about it—if they get defensive or hostile time to run run run away...

“Beware offering constructive advice to modern women.

When Hubby’s sister was in her 40s she was having a conversation with her father. He told her she said, “Uh”, too much when she spoke. She was an CPA to hot shots in Hollywood. She never talked to him again. That went on for about five years, then she died. Then he died. Stupid!

They both had life-long issues when it came to character.

All the “good ones” these women are looking for are banging every other girl who put out in the clubs.

I use to be a younger man.... I am not proud of my younger man exploits (OK maybe a little for bragging rights which is still horrible). But my goodness when I was in my 30s (even 40s) with cash travelling the world, for my career at the time, women like this were EVERYWHERE. Any city in the world, any club, any bar, these “loud and proud feminists” were like shooting fish in a barrel. That was a good time. I admit, as Jesse Lee Peterson says, I was a “slutmaker.” And I loved it. I was the guy these women were sleeping with, BARELY KNOWING MY NAME, with a few drinks in them because I was a good looking tall guy with money to spend. These women meant nothing to me. And I meant nothing to them. I may have well just used some porn for satisfaction and avoided the STD risk. And now the women complain they can’t find “good men” after being with 100 guys like me? They didn’t WANT good men. They wanted scoundrels like me to treat them like trash. I was happy to oblige.

I am a sinner. I was a horrible person in a fallen state taking advantage of weak women. I can listen to every feminazi podcast screaming at them for being idiots and every Tommy Sotomayor and Kevin Samuels podcast nodding my head wishing to tell these women to avoid guys like me who know exactly how to use them.

I said Adios to my former life many years ago. Since then I remain unmarried, celibate, and my soul has been Redeemed as best as I know how. I am content with my simple lot in life and know I will die alone with no progeny. But I have the comfort knowing I have stopped at least one thread of destroying some poor child’s life because of my selfishness.

I could write books on the borderline GenX dating scene. It’s not pretty.

I should be confessing this in church but I’m not a Catholic so here I am.

I’m actually fine with that.

Deflower a man’s daughter, best marry her or else.

Not enough fathers will do it though, unfortunately.

A woman who had a baby out of wedlock complains that she
can't find a husband to help take care of her child.

Gee, go figure.

That’s actually a separate matter from the social welfare matter. It’s just that the “welfare” system is an inducement; not to mention their “religious” authorities also encourage it and demean marriage.

Abolition of the family is at the heart of communism.

Sounds like it!

I found one that is not afraid to pull her own weight. She might not cook worth a damn, but while I am, she’s cleaning the kitchen and doing a load or 2 of laundry while matching me on the sarcasm scale.
