Here's a look at the 2023 nominees to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Cyndi Lauper
Kate Bush
Sheryl Crow
Missy Elliott
Joy Division/New Order
Iron Maiden
George Michael
Willie Nelson
Rage Against The Machine
Soundgarden
The Spinners
A Tribe Called Quest
The White Stripes
Warren Zevon
The Spinners version of “Working My Way Back to you, Babe” is better than the Frankie Valli version!
Midnight Confessions..............
“It’s A Shame” is their best song.
Besides, Rage Against The Machine is now a part of The Machine.
Still no Grand Funk Railroad!
They’re an American Band.
I’m surprised Willie wasn’t already in. I’ve seen him at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo twice. Both times were good shows, but the one in 2017 was exceptional.
They just want him to bring some dynamite weed for the after party!..........................
Nice to see Soundgarden get some love here.
Everyone else is on the Lame List: LAME!LAME!LAME!
That’s a little inside baseball, Seattle Style. A young Kim Thayil appeared occasionally on a local comedy bit show called “Almost Live”, as part of the “Seattle Metal Community”, and their take on the “Lame List”.
Life was better then, even in freaky Seattle. Wife and I used to go out in Pioneer Square. Now, I’d only go if accompanied by a judo expert with a machine gun.
Agree!
The Rock HOF always been a vanity project run by Jann Wenner. Whatever music he likes, basically.
I see what you did there. But it needs to be a black belt judo expert.
Wow. Connie Francis is still living! (85)
I do have Kate Bush and New Order albums. Obtained in my youthful days.
He’s definitely good for that. LOL
Kate Bush? Missy Elliot?
Bad Company
Badfinger
Blood, Sweat and Tears
Blue Oyster Cult
Boston
The Guess Who
Emerson, Lake, and Palmer
Foreigner
Jethro Tull
Joe Cocker
Judas Priest
Kansas
Little Feat
Meat Loaf
Pat Benatar
Phil Collins
Procol Harum
REO Speedwagon
Styx
So many greats there.
I just pulled up a Kate Bush song and she’s a good singer, no doubt. Frankly, I had no idea who she was before today.
Once again… a lot of non-rockers.
