I wonder why HBO turned off comments on their Twitter ads/threads for this show.
That's one of the reasons Henry Cavill left Netflix's "The Witcher." He is a stickler about script writers deviating from the original game storyline. I never knew he was such a big video game follower until my son told me.
I am not disagreeing with your point. I’m just not shocked it was in there.
I hope they’ve gotten it out of their system and we can move on.
Haven't you noticed? Ugly is the new black.
How many odd-looking (and in any case not gorgeous) or thoroughly unattractive women were in Game of Thrones? A great many TV series now have a leading woman who is at best a closing-time queen. BBC in particular has two genuinely fugly actresses they like to put in everything.
And they give bonus points if they're unattractive and they lisp.
Yep... and, it was totally out of left field. (No pun inteneded) was enjoying the show. And loving the refocus on Linda Rondstadt. But, no more LAst of Us for me
Pretty much why I don’t even bother watching any of these shows.
Has anyone here played through the game? I haven’t, so I’m agnostic. Was ANY of the episode 3 gay worship in the game?
My position on this sort of thing is pretty straightforward. If there is a gay character or relationship in the source material, fine with me. Carry it over into the movie. When you buy the IP, you buy the IP. If it’s good enough to justify a movie, run with it, but respect the canon.
The problem arises when the producers, director or showrunners swerve way out of their lane to shoehorn their agenda into the movie or show. In this case, I’m unfamiliar with the game, but my evil twin lurks on some other sites that are busy discussing this in detail. I gather that HBO went into full homosexual propaganda mode on this.
In all honesty...that character was also gay from the video game as well...they didn’t add that to the story.
So many good shows are ruined this way. Season one starts off great and then right on cue, in season two, they serve up the alphabet soup.
Gag.
The first few seasons of The Walking Dead is actually a training film for surviving a collapse of civilization. We can only hope people turn into slow moving zombies. The later seasons went off the rails.
Looks like Greta, but with less FAS.
In the game, Ellie is gay. They don’t elaborate on it too much in the main game but in the game’s add ons they do. And in the sequel Last of Us Part II.
Because they gay-ified the whole thing and they don't want to listen to people telling them how full of sh*t they are.
A non player character was "gay" in a game? How does that make any sense? Was showing homosexual activity relevant to the game's plot/story?
1.8% of the population is "gay" according to the last serious study I recall on the topic, so the odds are vastly against finding a random person who is "gay".
How is it even relevant to the storyline/plot?
How would anyone know? Did the NPC announce it to everyone? Or did he demonstrate it by doing gay stuff?
What does it have to do with the story arc?
Beats me. I just read up on the show before.
But, I guess the game was pretty popular…I am not much of a gamer, so I am not in the fan base.
I can tell you that my wife was not “impressed.”
I found the depiction of post apocalyptic central MASS to be amusing.
...just like most real people? The Brits cast ordinary people in their serial TV shows. It seems more realistic.
Worse than that. It was Brokeback Mountain on the small screen.
