The NFL Pro Bowl is going to look different this year. Rather than an exhibition game, the league is doing a showcase of sorts, with flag football being the flagship event, so to speak.

Yep I expect it will evolve into flag football in the future.
After watching Idiocracy, I'm starting to wonder if it's the blueprint for world events.

American rules football is an analogue of military ground war.
Flag football is a horse of a different color.
How far into the future? 100 years? There is no momentum to flag football beginning with the little ones just starting out all the way through NCAA, it's tackle all the way up the totem. No way Pros go first, so you would have to see a bottom up change and not a top down change. This just isn't in the works IMO.
I never understood the Pro Bowl.
So it takes place the week before the Super Bowl, it stands to reason many of the best players are playing in the Super Bowl, and therefore, won’t play in the Pro Bowl, so what’s the point?
Make ‘em play Rugby instead.
I seriously cannot remember the last time that I cared about or watched the “Pro Bowl”. It’s a soccer game with players wearing pads.
I wasn’t much of an NFL before yesterday, but the officiating has me ready to let it go by the wayside. I don’t pay much attention to it until the college fb season is over, but my husband still loves it. Pretty sure I won’t be watching the Super Bowl this year. Nor the Pro Bowl. Better things to do with my time. Kinda sad. They could’ve had me as a fan, but now that Vegas is so heavily involved, I don’t want anything to do with it. The non-stop gambling ads along with the ridiculous officiating makes it seem like a lost cause.
I’m not much of a basketball fan, so I’m moving on to hockey. Or maybe I’ll actually clean out my closet this winter. I’m pretty disgusted with it all. Way to go NFL.
For a long time it was held in Hawaii, if nothing else, it was a trip to Hawaii.
Most of the O line from the eagles were picked. Hope they don’t go with SB in two weeks.

Well the week after the SB most of the folks who were in the SB opted out. They moved it into the “gap” week really just to keep some level of momentum. As much as I find the Pro Bowl unwatchable it gets better ratings that the NBA and NHL championships, and often even beats the World Series. So somebody must like it.
why not just tell people you don’t want them to watch and save all the time and effort to put on what amounts to little more than a children’s beauty pageant
Now I will say, having the Manning brothers as coaches, should be for some good entertainment.
