Sounds like you have never been in a fight where someone uses pepper spray. When pepper spray is used, way over half the time the person using it gets a nice dose also.
And here’s the cool part, if they don’t use the taser and spray when subduing the resisting guy, THAT is an issue also.

Some of what we see here is basic human bad behavior prompted by our human nature.
Dogs and humans are pack animals at heart. We live in caves or cabins and in families or tribes. Same with dogs — it’s why we blend them into our families so well.
Dogs and humans hunt in packs as cooperative units and often in the intensity of the hunt, we kill in packs with a vicious unity in hunting or in battle.
The most biological uncivilized aspects of humanity are seen in such unruly blood lust. We enjoy football for the same reason.
These guys allowed their unit to devolve into uncivilized pack behavior. Could have been criminals, could have been white, could have been dogs — its pack behavior unleashed as their human civil nature fell away and the base instincts took over. They should be punished for their actions in accordance with the law and the policy for whom they worked.

How did that cop lose his glasses in the “initial” traffic stop? Was there a struggle? Did the perp drive away after being stopped? Why did the cops immediately drag the guy out of his car? Why were they so pissed at him?
Where are the riots?

Having watched the bodycam video, these officers were involved with the initial encounter with the suspect but were not involved once the suspect escaped.
They both got pepper spray residue on them. One got some in his eyes and so could no longer see. The other lost his prescription (?) glasses.
The officers were directing other officers in the direction the suspect fled as they arrived on scene, while one of the officers rendered first aid to help the other officer clean the pepper spray from his eyes. The officer was apparently able to locate his glasses in the street.
Not seeing anything untoward with these two on this video.
It’s interesting that an “independent” autopsy by the family was done but has not been released. It was announced that the autopsy noted that Nichols had been “beaten” but did not say the beating was the cause of death.
I’m not finding any autopsy report by the city or county.
So, we don’t know what his cause of death (3 days after the beating incident) was.
For some reason these cops wanted this man to die.

What was wrong with this perp? He seemed mentally off and unable to follow simple instructions like “Get out of your car” or “Lay on your stomach” or “Give me your hands”. He fought with the cops then ran then was recaptured and fought some more. All the while refusing to follow instructions and allow cops to cuff him. People don’t seem to realize that cops get killed all of the time by perps resisting arrest.
It’s very dangerous and very stressful. In a split second the perp could’ve produced a weapon and killed any one of them. The guy brought this on himself. Fighting with police and resisting arrest is a good way to get seriously injured or killed no matter what your race may be. It’s sad but this entire situation was completely avoidable if Tyr had just listened.
They have this wrong. Those two officers were back at the suspects car, they were at the original stop that the suspect ran from.
The cop with pepper spray in his eyes is odd, his behavior is odd.
Sgt Pepper built up a head of steam whilst having Sgt Magoo wash his eyes, he then suited up, got in his car and drove to the suspect and I think he’s the ‘kicker’.
That’s premeditated.

Does anyone know the reason they stopped Nichols in the first place? Was there a chase, reckless driving, etc?
