Bodycam Shows Paul Pelosi Hammer Attack at California Home
Bodycam footage released by the San Francisco police shows officers arriving at Paul Pelosi's home in October. Video shows a suspect allegedly attacking Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi's husband with a hammer before cops jumped on him. The suspect, David DePape, will face trial after pleading not guilty to the charges against him.

Yeah, the cops should have stood still and just took better pictures. Then it would be clear.
I know that if someone breaks into my house at 2:30 in the morning, the first thing I do is fix a cocktail. Only after that do I look for my robe or firearm.
Only the Pelosis have the CCTV footage of what happened inside. And they’re not releasing it.
Well, he did just pick up a DUI @ 82, so he is a serious party animal.

After listening to the 911 call and watching the security video and the body cam, I'm inclined to think Pelosi is possibly innocent in this.
A scenario:
I think he may have been sitting in his underwear in another part of the house with a drink. Or he was getting undressed for bed. He heard glass breaking and went to investigate. He finds DePape who wants see Nancy.
In the 911 call Pelosi is trying to hint he is in trouble without upsetting DePape who is listening to the call. The idiot operator is not picking up on it and tries to get off the phone but Pelosi stops her and hints more strongly that he doesn't know the guy and finally she asks his name. She sends officers.
When the door opens Pelosi is standing there in a button-up shirt and boxer-briefs and a drink, one hand on the hammer DePape has. DePape is fully dressed in shorts, shirt and tennis shoes. Pelosi greets the officers and they ask if all is OK. DePape answers that there is no problem.
Officers see the hammer and order him to drop it. He says; "Uh, no". Then he tries to gain control of the hammer and Pelosi resists. Pelosi says; "Hey! Hey, hey, hey" just before DePape pulls it free and goes for Pelosi.
I believed the worst, as most here do, till the videos and 911 call. What I don't understand, if all this is true, is why they resisted releasing the videos and 911 call.
I only watched FOX at 1 or so and that coverage with John Roberts and Sandra Smith was disgusting.
“He was so calm - he handled it so well, blah blah blah”. Everything except HE (Pelosi) WAS DRUNK! Not a single mention that he answered his door with a glass of booze in his left hand at 2:30 in the morning.
Anyone with a brain AND SOBER would be screaming bloody murder that a stranger broke into his house - but instead said, “he’s waiting for my wife?” I’ll see what FOX has to report this evening -perhaps some truth?
Hey - I don’t blame the guy for drinking - if I was married to THAT, I would stay drunk!!!!
Working and have not seen video. Did it clear up if Pelosi opened the door for cops?
The problem is not necessarily with your narrative (which is certainly possible) but what you did not talk about....
Security.

Some security folks did not do their job—that is why Paul mentioned the Capitol Police in his 911 call—where were they?
There is no way anyone should be able to smash glass at the Speaker’s home without a mob of security attacking them—long before any entry was possible.
You could not see who opened the door—it actually looked like neither Pelosi nor the perp opened the door...
You must have been watching Roberts and Smith on FOX at 1. That’s exactly the way they dissected and reported what they saw on the video. Pelosi wasn’t hinting about ANYTHING....The dispatcher wasn’t missing any hints or signals. She was no doubt wondering WHY if there is someone in your house you don’t know and you have called 911, why the caller was appearing so calm. John Roberts even said that the address would have been apparent to 911. I don’t know about cell phones but I know my home phone has a connection for 911 to pick up on the address. It’s my guess that the dispatcher believed the caller to be intoxicated!!
Possibly getting ready for bed? With a drink in his hand?
