Do you want a war? Because that’s how you get a war.

Oh I think I will come learn how to change diapers from you,
because none of my college chem courses included that!

Or maybe I can work part time for the FBI.

If Russia decides to employ Sarmats what they can do is make the claim it was a “humanitarian” effort that saved millions of lives.

That's because the Russian Federation DIDN'T do that.

...

However, the Soviet Union did, quite successfully, from 1920 through 1980.

What we are witnessing is a US v Russia proxy war via the Ukraine.

In a tragedy, you are the author of your own destruction by a choice you made at some point.

The true Greek tragedy for us, and especially for the Russians, is that the USSR actually DID support separatist movements in the USA back in the old days. From the 30s forward. They had very good success during the Vietnam and civil rights era. They carefully exploited the vicious race relations of Jim Crow. They went all through academia and media to support gutting American culture. They had a pope almost assassinated. They launched PLO terror. They launched the green movement. They launched Red Brigades and other movements around Germany and Italy. It was their game plan, and they executed it masterfully. But then one day the USSR ended and Russia started building churches, learning capitalism for the first time in their history, and trying to be friendly to the west.

They were immediately confronted by the monster they created and nurtured. They were arrayed against Hillary etc, they were arrayed against the pantheon of the American left. This week a German green leader announced Germany was sending tanks to attack Russians. Every hard leftist you can name in media, academia and Hollywood is supporting a nazi force on Russian’s doorstep. Atheist homosexuals screech at them and our government flies a homo flag from the embassy as Russians try to protect their children.

Russia now opposes the things the USSR seduced the west with, but now that Soviet created monster has created a depraved, atheist US government, riddled with homosexuality and revolutionary socialism, hell bent on baby killing and world domination. And much of it is headed by the evil people the USSR pushed to the front.

What Russia is experiencing now is right out of a classic Greek tragedy.

Yeah, when I read this my first thought was “wouldn’t most people think to this as act or suggestion of war?”

I really enjoy the contradictions and contortions you pro-Russian folks go through.

Ukraine is supposedly “Russian” territory because of claims that go back before the Russian Federation existed.

But then when put on the spot for corrupt and malicious Russian domination of Ukraine you folks deny that the Russian Federation holds any responsibility for that because it didn’t exist until 1991.

Which is it?

That term “whataboutism” was used in the article. I was pointing out that the term is used when you score a direct hit they cannot defend against.

Examples abound. One I see often is when people say you cannot use force to establish a new country, from within another, such as Donbass. If you ask them about Kosovo, or breaking off northern Syria and giving it to the Kurds, the screech that is the dreaded “whataboutism”. The neocons hate a mirror.

When someone responds to a point you make with an accusation of “whataboutism”, you can be sure you just won. But DC loves to throw that term around.

I think you are correct. I think we will have nato entering the war with troops in Ukraine soon.

And Russia will be bombarded on all sides by every country in nato with every weapon available.

Moscow, a city I hitchhiked in with a 3 yr old safely, and spent delightful months on a few occasions, came to love, containing historic world architecture, will be razed or nearly destroyed by the Russia haters. I become so sad at this thought. I have been to a great deal of the world, but Moscow, esp the Metro, completely entranced me.

And Russia will, backed into a corner, make use of those superweapons and remove the US from the planet.
Have you seen my posts on the belgorod?
see posting history.

I see no way out of this otherwise, barring divine intervention.

We have a demented moron at the helm and Ukraine has a coke addict drama queen russophobe at their helm.

Europe has proven easy to brainwash against Russia.
At least some of our FR comrades here drip hate onto the keyboard that is visible when you read their posts.

I said in a previous post that I am planning on about six months.
Have you read the Fourth Turning?

“History is seasonal and winter is coming. The very survival of the nation will feel at stake. Sometime before the year 2025, America will pass through a great gate in history, commensurate with the American Revolution, Civil War, and the twin emergencies of the Great Depression in World War II. The risk of catastrophe will be high. The nation could erupt into insurrection or civil violence, crack up geographically or succumb to authoritarian rule. If there is a war, it is likely to be one of maximum risk and effort – in other words, a total war. Every Fourth Turning has registered an upward ratchet in the technology of destruction, and in mankind’s willingness to use it.” (The Fourth Turning, Strauss & Howe, 1997)

The USA needs to be broken up like the Austro-Hungarian Empire after the First World War.
