A recent study listed Hawaii as the top state in America for the longest average life expectancy.
Those living in Hawaii can expect to live to an average of 80.7 years. The Aloha state was the only state to crack the 80-year milestone.
The national average life expectancy for men in the U.S. is 73.5 years old, while the average for women is 79.3 years age.
Washington State (#2), Minnesota (#3) California (#4-tie), and Massachusetts (#4-tie) rounded out the list, with averages around 79 years old.
Life expectancies declined nationwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the study.
Hawaii also has the #1 consumption of SPAM in the country by FAR.
Do you think these two facts are unrelated?
Highest spam consumption and highest life expectancy?
I THINK NOT!!!
Spam is the key to a healthy long life
Eat more spam yum
Largest Asian population % in the nation, combined with a low black population. Genes bro. Duh.
And exercise is big there. If you wear a swimsuit year round, you shouldn’t be a fattie. I have met quite a few large Pacific Islanders there as well.
Magnum PI and Miami Vice are awesome shows.
Weird. I lived there before it gained statehood and when it attained statehood. I don’t expect to live there again. My life expectancy in Hawaii is zero.
Yes. Both are binge worthy.
I assume you’re referring to the original Magnum and not the newer woke one with a female Kono. Gotta have Zulu as Kono.
Some are, but alot look like brother Iz.
There is only one Magnum PI…
“I don’t like Spam!!!”
Highest median age would be more meaningful.
A Martian reading only FR posts would conclude it is the vaccines responsible for reduced life expectancy.
I will soon burn 83 candles in Florida. It has nothing to do with genes. all my uncles and dad never made it past age 73.
It is regular treadmill 4 or 5 times every week, baby, and I expect to make it to 100.
I saw a British documentary about that just the other day. At least I think it was a documentary.
Really interesting data.
Thanks for posting it for this 84.25 year old guy.
Some. Diet is a huge factor as is movement. You can be fit and still die from genetic components. Denying the idea of genes plays a role is retarded.
Four of the crappiest states to live in, give me a break.
And one Higgins.
And don't forget the incomes of the non-indigenous folks in Hawaii. Often, not all the time, making a higher income often means smart enough to not do dumb things that are bad for health. So if you're wealthy enough to make Hawaii your retirement state you probably have a habit of making wise decisions.
