Your comment is spot on - and it will be our treasure that gets poured into Ukraine to prevent disruption of the status quo, not NATO’s.

Russia was supposed to take over Ukraine with ease and thereby put a choke hold on the EU via energy. That would sideline the EU during the future China vs Tiawan conflict.
But things did not turn out the way Russia wanted. It was supposed to be “Shock and Awe” and take over in a month. But Ukraine spoiled their plans and then it devolved to a war of fire and maneuver. That also failed and we are now down to a war of logistics. Now the lines are fairly static.
Both sides are calling for more men. This will now have to go through a war of attrition. Ukraine has fewer men but western technology. Russia has more men but they are poorly equipped and lead.
Ultimately the question is .... can Ukraine kill half a million men before they run out of weapons, ammo and their own men.

No, I think that “climate change” may or may not be happening, we simply dont have enough data to prove it. And the more critical point is whether human activity has anything to do with climate change at all, or if so, exactly how.
The climate cultists are certain it has to do with CO2 increases due to the burning of fossil fuels. This conclusion is vastly premature.
As for conspiracies, this one began in universities by, as usual, academics looking for a problem with which to justify funding. A small “chaotic” seed, that snowballed when it hit an enviro movement that had lost its previous issues that justified its existence, and funding. Then the MSM turned it into a popular trope that fed into the bien pensant urge to seem better, in any way, from the hoi polloi. And then it became a reason for businesses to chase subsidies, regulatory gifts, and for politicians to feed off that (basic Schumpeter). And so on. Its the usual butterfly-wing cascade.

Hitler had in the past envisioned Poland as a sort of junior partner against the USSR and a place to dump all the Jews, He was determined to eliminate the Corridor and attach Danzig to the Reich and to swap territory belonging to Estonia for it. The Poles initially began to negotiate but after the German annexation of Bohemia and Moravia the Poles with British and French support balked. Germany drifted into a war with Poland as the crisis escalated through the summer of 1939. There was certainly no ‘resources’ in Poland that Germany needed to annex.
NATO has long had war plans. But NATO was more of a theoretical structure by the winter of 2021, as no European nation was prepared to carry out any plans on the necessary scale. And the US was incapable or unwilling to maintain more than a brigade at a time in Europe to “show the flag”.
Trumps complaints vs NATO countries were on-point - their 30-year neglect of their responsibilities had made NATO only marginally relevant.
Its lucky for everyone that Russia was even worse off, as it turned out, and that their intended victims were vastly underestimated.

An argument wrt CO2 and climate going back THAT far is that its irrelevant to the state of the current biosphere. The present state of things has had many millions of years to evolve to deal with current conditions. A rapid change to some other state is going to cause vast disruption until everything adjusts.
And that adjustment is going to take longer than all of human history to date, if not more, probably much more. The scale of time is extremely important. Its easy to say that all will shake out, eventually. But that “eventually” is ... when? A million years out?
Personally I am more interested in the last 10,000 years, during the current interglacial. You can make a perfectly good case going no further back.

I would suggest you read your history book.
Read the Mein kampf. Hitler outlined exactly what he was going to do, his goal was to create living room for the germans in the east. Poland was to be depopulated and Germans moved in, ditto for western Russia, for Ukraine and Belarus.
Poland had no resources other than land what Hitler wanted.
