Or, is it a change of the FR presentation for some reason.
Thanks for any response.
Same thing happened to me several years ago. It was a setting in my profile.
There is a line near the top right that says brevity headers text.
Try playing with those. Text might be the one you need.
Brevity: Headers | « Text »
It’s a switch on the page.
Right... THAT’S what it was.
Under latest articles, select “brevity”
for headline only, or “text” for the first few sentences.
Just above where the headlines begin, you should see a bar with tabs for Brevity: headers text
Click on the text tab.
You may have inadvertently hit the headers tab.
You need to click on “text” in the “Articles” bar at the top of the article column.
Someone will explain it better but:
• Click ‘Pings’
• You should already be in the ‘Articles’ tab. If not, click it so that it comes to the fore in your display.
• In tiny type on the right side of tab above the first article should be the word ‘Brevity’ and to right of that the words ‘Header | Text’
• You probably have ‘Header’ selected. Select ‘Text’ instead and see if that resolves the issue.
Empty thread. Still the last to post!
Thanks all of you. I wish I had asked a couple months ago instead of looking all over in settings and scratching the final hairs off my head...
First you need to re-log in.
Are ya logged in?
Has nothing to do with “senior”... simply with the demand that everyone on every platform they are interested in using be able to present items they are served in every possible configuration. CSS demands create more malware opportunities than anything else does.
I have been happy with the ancient presentation of FR that was used 20+ years ago. Happily, it has remained pretty much the same. I never noticed the “brevity” switch, and somewhere along the line it nabbed me, and trying to look at my profile switches provided no clues.
In any event, the problem’s done now, thanks to the good folks who answered me above.
Right above “next page” at the top, on the right, to the right of “Brevity”, make sure text is selected by appearing as
« Text »
You select text by clicking on it and you’ll get the results you want.
How do I get rid of certain forums that I don’t wish to appear in my feed?
