Habanero is About as hot as I can stand, and then only in small bits!

Used to eat jalapenos right out the jar or garden. Can’t do that no more!.................

Blair’s Death Rain Habanero Potato Chips used to be available through my local vending machine. They’ve been sold out for years. Don’t know if I’ll ever get to enjoy them again. A small bag was just the right amount to break a sweat and “feel alive.”

They can determine Scoville ratings to 7 significant figures. Yeah, right.

I have noted the jalapenos peppers from Safeway in recent times are far less heat than years ago. My brother says they are deliberately breeding some of the heat out.

I use habaneros and serranos for heat now, and jalapenos stand in for recipes that want green bell peppers.

Peppers are subject to soil nutrients.

Jalapenos are really easy to grow in a pot.

If you use Miracle Grow, they will be hot! HOT! HOT!..............

Bought a Ghost pepper plant from a local Home Depot or Lowes. Full of fruit and hot. One more sparse crop and then the poor thing withered and gave up.

Tried to read up on growing peppers but got nowhere. Had them on our lanai (patio) with only a bit of afternoon sun. Hawaii climate, so I figured they would grow like crazy. But no.

Bugs or nutrients, certainly not cold?

To keep a pepper plant alive you must keep picking the fruits and never let it go to seed. Some live longer than others.

We had a bell pepper plant that stayed alive and fruited for three years before a cold snap got it................

I think jerk pork chops sound good, in honor of the day. Afternoon snack? Wasabi peas.
