Years ago I had a kidney stone and ended up in the emergency room. I told them I couldn't tolerate opiates, so they gave me an IV, and sent me home with a bottle of pills to take for the next few days. The relief of pain was immediate, and as long as I took the pills, I was fine. There was no high associated with it at all, and I just drove home.
They told me it was some kind of super-tylanol. I can't remember the name of it.
I am going in for a minor procedure, and would like to ask them to use that.
Does anyone know what that was?
I’ve a recovering addict.
NSAID allergies are a concern and it’s one of those types of allergies that suddenly you are allergic to it. I took ibuprofen periodically for years and one day I took a couple of ibuprofens and I found myself in the emergency room with anaphylactic shock so I am now allergic.
A doctor friend of mine told me he is appalled at the amount of advertisements in magazines found in waiting rooms of Physician’s office that commonly feature NSAID advertisements.
He calls them a ticking time bomb.
As a matter of fact I can only use acetaminophen or steriods or opiates.
Oddly enough if you are very restricted in the amount of pain reduction medications you can use, the body actually becomes adapted to handling pain better. Go figure.
Yes voltaren an NSAID and works but oral voltaren is iffy
Id stick with cream
The oral dose has cardio etc issues
Tramadol is an opiate, it is a narcotic.
[[Is prednisone
A steroid which is a Godsend for inflammation or breathing issues
Don’t quit it immediately
Brutal]]
I can attest to that- Doc never told me not to quit it all at once- and i did- wow! Thought i was dyin- massive headache to point of throwing up- really messed me up for a few days-

Toradol does help temporarily but isn’t it just injections
I’ve had them in my neck
No buzz at all
It’s the only potent pain reliever I know of that does not have the buzz
My last Toradol protocol was a very ouchy IM shot in the ass and then a bottle of pills for the next few days to a week. Hopefully this will be as aggressive as you need to get with the pain.
You’re not alone
Modern world seems full of them
toradol is a really good guess at what he was given
I just fell and broke my collar bone and cracked three ribs, I got a prescription for hydrocod/acet which ran out. Now I’m popping 200mg ibuprofen. It’s Ok, not great.
I got a refill for the hydro, but Sam’s can’t fill the prescription. They can’t get any. Is this America?
G.I. aspirin. They gave them to us like Skittles!
Motrin, Tylenol combination as effective as opioids for pain in the ER, study says
Wild times.
Who knows what changed.. d:^)
The PA I saw said ibuprofen will slow recovery from broken bones. Catch 22.
Taking gabapentin 7 years ago for RSD (CRPS) at 300mg a day, I blacked out, found myself parked in front of a grocer’s with no memory of driving there, holding a shopping list I couldn’t make sense out of. Drove the 3 miles back home and threw that crap away.
Neurologist then Rx’d nortriptyline saying, let’s get you off of those opioids. Except the medicine stopped my bowels for five straight days. At the lowest possible dose too. Tried it again a couple weeks later same side effect.
Was prescribed Lyrica. I felt like an observer in a continual panic attack for two weeks on that and said nope not happening. My pain specialist keeps trying to implant some device in my spinal cord says he no longer wants to prescribe opioids, but I’m fine on about 90 Percocet a month.
I have tried anti-inflammatory, herbal supplements of several varieties that Southeast Asian Indonesian tree leaf opioid supplement that makes you want to vomit. I’ve tried capsaicin I tried CBD oil, CBD gummy‘s CBD capsules do you not like being high and haven’t been able to work for the past year for paying VA is currently reassessing my 90% disability rating and I’m contemplating growing opium poppies in the near future. Just so I have a source of an affective pain medication. Yes I do eat boatloads of Tylenol Percogesic on occasion, and NSAIDs worsen my tinnitus to the point my ears hurt literally. Opioids flat out work for pain management. I would just be happier if I could get more of them at lower doses I can function, but the pain syndromes are catching up to me.
And since it is non-narcotic you do not need to go to the ER for it. Just your doctor's office.
That is what they give you in the ER if you overdose on Tylenol.
Never take Tylenol without it.
almost certainly Toradol
Don’t take i9t more than a few days in a row it will melt your kidneys eventually.
Meloxicam and ketoprofen are kinda in between Ibuprofen and toradol as far as strength goes
Took one Motrin and two Tylenol twice a day for the kidney infection I just got over. worked like magic.
