My niece and her hubby are all in for this crap! She calls it Eloise’s sack! No blankets, no stuffed animals or toys in the bed ! How did WE ever survive this long?

You are absolutely on target. Especially when we look back on those early days. People still believed physicians followed the Hippocratic Oath. I think physicians thought they did, also.
