Yes, after thinking about this, I’m inclined to agree. She looked kind of ill at the Globes, could have been lighting, but something seemed off.
Terribly sad. Seems like a lot of depression.. I noticed it in her young twins faces. The older girl seems happy.

Another friend who took the jab...off to the hospital to visit her today. From her text;
“...not looking good. I’ve been in hospital since friday Dec 30th in ICU. Im doing good but had brain aneurysm blow and surgery to coil and repair six areas. I had a brain drain put in to remove fluid build up. I have done better than most and come through this with no physical or neurological effects just need lots of rest and anti brain spasm and anti seizure meds for a while plus monitored for 14-21 days. moved me me last night to a step down unit.💜”
Otherwise very healthy 58 y/o

Agreed. My hubby is in the hospital and I’ve observed these things:
1. They had him sign all his preop consents electronically right in front of them so he didn’t have time to read them. Just “sign here, sign her, sign here.” God knows what he agreed to!
2. There is NO warmth from staff for the family members. They do not want us there. They tolerate us during visiting hours but that is it. I had to go sit in the hospital lobby when visiting hours ended during my husband’s five-hour surgery. No doctor came to speak to me after the surgery. I got a phone call. I was “allowed” to see him in recovery. Once he was in ICU and now step down, as I come and go, not one nurse on the floors has greeted me. Not one has asked if I need a cup of water or a blanket. There is a definite air of mistrust toward visitors. They know some of us know.
3. They give him meds and tell him what they are afterward. Gone are the days of partnership with the patient in his own care.
4. There seemed like a lot more chitchat amongst the nurses, especially at shift change. His room was near the nurses’ station and there was no attempt to be quiet as they talked for 20 minutes about everything but the patient.
5. There used to be restrooms for family in each unit. No more. There are now a couple of dual gender restrooms out on the floor near the elevator. All the herding of relatives to common waiting ares and heavily used common restrooms seems to be designed to spread germs among the many visitors on a floor together.
6. I was allowed into the hospital with no Covid testing or questions or showing of vaxx cards, just wear a mask. It is a teaching hospital, with lots of “immigrant” patients, so maybe that is the reason? And no stipulations on type of mask. I opted for my loose cloth mask. Don’t they know masks don’t work? How can the hospital where he was a few months ago be so strict, and this one so free? If this is a health emergency, shouldn’t all hospitals be handling visitors the same way?
