If he gave up stuff to become speaker, IMO, he bought a name tag and perhaps cannot be trusted
I guess his core values or whatever Trump gave them here
Ask the WEF and you will get your answers
Your probably about on target: and his core means of getting there was caving to the left. He has now added caving to the right to his reproitoire.
As noted in Chicago well over a century ago, an honest politician is one who when bought stays bought.
Well, he voted FOR same-sex “marriage,” vax mandates for the military, $100 (non-auditable) BILLION for Ukraine, use of Medicare funds to bail out USPS, drafting women, January 6 “commission,” DC statehood, DACA amnesty, so I’d say he HAD no “core” values, just “highest bidder” ones.
CA politician.
Core values? Bwahahahahahahahahahahah!
IN an article yesterday, it said congress has one string they can use on mccarthy.. he has had affairs... evidently not in the long past... if his family can’t trust him...
Pelosi had it set up pretty sweet and McCarthy wanted to keep it that way - pretty sweet for the Speaker that is.
What I’d like to know is what else was on the list when Gaetz finally gave up. What didn’t they get?
What were his core values? Power over you and I.
Pelosi democrats still in power.
So how is he going to held accountable for any compromises one way or the other?
I think that is a safe statement, but then again it would have been just as safe, and more accurate to say; He can't be trusted at all. 🙂
I’d show you one of his values, but even if you can scare them up out of the mud, eels are hard to catch in cold water.
The issues the Freedom caucus had to negotiate to get as “concessions” were items that the GOP campaigned on for the past few years. They were issues the GOPe leaders had gone on Hannity and such to complain about quite often. Why did it take such a fight to get McCarthy to agree to those few items? Why was the Freedom caucus having to negotiate as if they were making a deal with Democrats? That’s a question very few are asking.
The GOPe uses issues the conservatives are interested in to get elected. They say the right things, are full of bluster and promises about all the things they can do if elected, then once in office, they abandon all pretense of advocating for those same things. It is amazing that those items were even an issue. They should have been on McCarthy’s “To Do” list and he should have issued a statement, and signed a “contract” to that effect from the beginning. If he had done so, there wouldn’t have been 15 rounds of voting.
It wasn’t the Freedom caucus that was the “hold out”, it was McCarthy and the GOPe leadership.
Core Values?
LOL
BTTT
He was a party guy.
A follower, not a leader.
He mostly wanted to keep his job, so if he had to compromise to keep his job then he really wasn’t compromising.
You are 100% correct.
