PING!.....................
More kids in Africa subjected to slavery for this truck??
Now the Musk has emerged as a conservative hero, expect all of our enemies to start working to destroy Tesla.
Has anyone here seen an actual tradesman who really USES a truck, driving an electric truck?
I have not.
At least it will be easy to mount a 20KW Diesel generator in the back for charging
Got a ride in a newish Ram the other day.
(It was a “loaner” from the dealer, buddy’s truck in for engine replacement).
Was impressed by the smooth quiet ride.
For example, according to my math with this truck: adding 100 miles in 10 minutes using a 350kW charger results in 1.7 miles/kWh. When charging from home assume a 5% loss converting AC to DC and it's 1.6 miles/kWh. That might be okay for an EV truck, but you can do much better with an EV car. And since an EV truck won't haul a long way without charging a lot, why make the truck be your EV anyway?
Batteries will shortly become too expensive to make electric vehicles viable. Toyota already warned and that was before Srilanka nationalized their lithium mining.
Truck buyers are finicky about their pickups.
Yes, we hate Elon Musk now.
We have always hated Elon Musk.
Oceania has always been at war with Eurasia.
“The Revolution’s design currently has cameras in place of side mirrors, doors that swing open in opposite directions, and an interior design that offers third-row jump seats.”
Wow, what a game-changer. Makes me want to run out and get one soon as they hit the market.
“The electric truck will also reportedly be able to charge at a rate of 350 kilowatts and add 100 miles of range in 10 minutes.”
“reportedly” and in put down in writing?
Dodge is getting your tax dollars to make thos.
The folks at Dodge couldn’t care less about Musk’s politics. They care about keeping their stock price up. They care about Market share. Anything else is “fluff.”
Toyota seems like the only major automaker with any common sense these days vis a vis what the future product is going to look like.
On the road is one thing but doing actual heavy duty truck things like hauling stuff in the dead of winter is another.
My Ram sports a Hemi. That’s the way I likes it
Yeah just look at them hard media credentials to report on ICE v EV, DODGE v TESLA. C'mon MAN!
I can see having an electric small car for errands around town and a gasser for loads and long trips.
I plan to buy a used electric when supply greatly outpaces demand and they’re selling at depressed prices.
