Ping

What a surprise.

I have this gut feeling that by the time 2023 is well under way, we are going to be wishing it was 2022 again, for the good old days.

Prepper Ping - Food Prices to go up in 2023 due to additional regulations and farmland being bought up by foreign countries
Support local farmers, and stand up to eliminate additional government regulations

"Stephanie Nash, a Turning Point USA ambassador, spoke out about the issue on "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday, saying the threat of drought, price hikes due to inflation
and an increasing number of regulations are creating serious problems for farmers.
"That's a big food security threat to our future here in America," Nash told guest host Katie Pavlich.
"California, they have tons of regulations with air quality, with water coalitions, just being able to get resources they need.
It's like they're pushing us into a corner to go out of business," she said.

"The biggest problem remains, however, that the U.S. Department of Agriculture has not kept up with a changing world, Nash asserted.
She said the USDA needs to consider the threats from severe weather and how family farmers are being impacted.
"And they want to tell us how to do our job on the side with regulations." (Emphasis Mine)

"Nash stressed the need for the government and the public to support local agriculture as foreign countries purchase U.S. farmland
and inflation continues to ravage the economy.
She predicted America will see many family farmers and ranchers go out of business in 2023 as a result." (Emphasis Mine)

There seems to be a breakout on the war on CO2 that is a war on nitrogen (fertilizer). The population reduction crowd will probably try to take from private gardens because independent people is who they want to reduce. My garden is not visible from the road or neighbors. I hope this is not going to get “real bad”, but I think it could.

You can't grow enough locally to feed large urban populations. You need amber waves of grain.

“”California, they have tons of regulations with air quality, with water coalitions, just being able to get resources they need. It’s like they’re pushing us into a corner to go out of business,” she said. “

There is too much farming here. Bot the watersheds (rivers) and aquifers are being depleted.

It’s not sustainable.

Fortunately, there’s a political coalition of left and native right to hold the line on water distribution. 50% to the rivers/delta, 40% to farmers and 10% to municipalities.

If I was growing peaches, almonds or walnuts in CA, I would shift to olives. Because this coalition will hold.

Big Government, they are the ones killing off family farmers.

Biden said his plan would work and it did.
