Bryan Kohberger allegedly stalked the four University of Idaho students 'for weeks' before the killings according to a friend of a cop who tracked him

The source said the suspect was seen wearing gloves after the murders, even to a supermarket because 'he's not stupid and has been very careful'

Kohberger was arrested at his family's home on Friday following a more than month-long investigation

The source said cell phone data showed he was in the same area as his victims in the weeks leading up to their deaths

**************************************************************

The man accused of the horrific slayings of four University of Idaho students was allegedly stalking them in the weeks leading up to the murders and wore gloves in public places after the killings.

Bryan Kohberger, 28, was fastidious about not leaving his fingerprints behind after the murders, even wearing gloves when he entered a grocery store, according to a friend of one of the police officers assigned to follow him there.

'He's not stupid and has been very careful,' the anonymous source said.

While Kohberger was under surveillance in Pennsylvania, according to the source, police witnessed him appearing to try and avoid leaving any more DNA or fingerprints behind by taking protective measures in public.

'A good friend of ours was one of the cops who has been following him the last couple days he,' the source explained of their connection to the surveillance on Kohberger in Pennsylvania.

Exactly. Stupid people just gotta have their few minutes of “hey, look at me!” fame, even if it has the potential to derail a murder investigation.

“Friend” of investigator? Investigator needs to keep his big mouth shut so he does not cause evidence to become inadmissible.

I don’t think it matters that a cop has been talking about the operation.

All of those details are almost certainly going to be in the legal documents filed at the perp’s arraignment hearing anyway.

Never had a chance. Here’s how I suspect it went:

1. Cousin submits DNA sample to 23 and Me.
2. He does his crime, but leaves DNA (very hard not to, for that crime).
3. Police/FBI test sample, no match. Then to to 23 and Me, and get 100 possibilities of relatives, with rankings as to the closest.
4. Police/FBI then give the list of names to their former co-workers at the phone carriers and database managers to look for phone pings and search license plate camera databases for the 100 persons.
5. One hit clearly stands out with pings in the area (since nearly all others are in the Eastern US). They have their man.
(now on to making their work look legal and/or not giving away their techniques, so they have to show some shoe leather)
6. Police make a point of interviewing a relatively large number of people and then concoct a ‘witness’ or two who “saw” his white Hyundai at the scene.
7. Police then get warrants as required, to access the phone pings and license plate databases legally.
8. They then follow the suspect and arrest him.

Getting away with murder is almost 0% with todays technology.

How so? RAT politicians do it with impunity. They simply do it by proxy.

Wanna kill Americans? No problem. Simply erase the borders and bring in wetback mongrels ....... by the millions.

His criminology Professor Katherine Ramsland is interesting and worth noting. She wrote a book about the BTK killer. I read the introduction yesterday. It’s creepy.

I think two of the victims gave the cops a big tip early on and were waiting for genetic DNA testing to come back. The “leaked” street video/audio surveillance of the girls walking to the food truck and the conversation was “what did you tell Adam”. The response was “ I told Adam everything”. Adam was the bartender/manager at the bar they hung out in and had just left. I think the creeper had harassed them at the bar, followed them and they decided to say something to Adam, who in turn knew the girls were being stalked. This would be consistent with his aggressive behavior against women at PA bar, whose manager had a confrontation with him about his comments to employees and patrons In addition, the guy was an OCD Vegan. A reporter googled vegan restaurants in Moscow area, the first and best result came back Mad Greek Restaurant, where two of the victims worked.

“concoct a ‘witness’ or two who “saw” his white Hyundai at the scene.”

Actually they had the white Hyundai on a nearby convenience store security cam footage in the time frame of the murders and started sifting through the registration data bases immediately. The suspect had a WSU parking pass, so his name was known to police earlier than we realize. Then they got the warrant for his cell phone and watched him while waiting for the forensic DNA processing to be completed.

Once the had that hard evidence match, they arrested him. And the Moscow police kept their mouths shut, unlike the gossipy Pennsylvania cop.

A lot of parallels to the BTK case. I had to google it and read the wikipedia article. Creepy indeed.

well, he couldn’t have been THAT smart, using his own cell phone in the proximity of the murders and during his flight to pennsylvania ... using burner phones and removing battery and SIM cards from your own phone are pretty much Anti-Detection 101 ...

[...blabbermouth cop needs to be identified and called in for a conversation about operational security.”

Geo-tracking a cell phone is not OPSEC level detail. It’s how the entire world knows the 2020 election was stolen.

In that case, law enforcement wants to play dumb.

If he was so smart and meticulous, he would have used a stolen car to do the crime, dumped it into a nearby lake and rode a bike that he abandoned on campus and walked home.

Oh, and don’t stalk with a phone in your pocket.
