DeSantis is not a bad fellow, but he’s being used. I’m sorry to say he’s not highly-highly intelligent nor brilliant. What he sometimes does do right is listen as in listen to some really smart conservative Floridians, then have their concerns scripted, and reads said scripts from a podium. But those conservatives had to keep needling him to pay attention.
What viewers and the thread’s OP need to understand is the following:
They are going all out to create divisiveness by hyperventilating a clash between Trump and DeSantis.
Their goal is to peel off supporters from President Trump and make MAGA go the way of the TEA PARTY.
Don’t fall for it.

Now, I’m not saying DeSantis is a willing tool because...I don’t believe he is. But his silence does open the door to the cacophony in the media and conservative circles.
He allowed choice and mandated nothing. It did not stop vaccine use in the state, but guess what? He has to represent everyone and Florida is an elderly hotbed. It is wrong to block use of such vaccines.
He was completely right with his approach. Whether he got it or not is irrelevant, because that, again, was a personal choice he allowed and took for himself.

Simply not true. He fought tooth and nail against anyone being forced to do it. From employers to event tickets to cruises. He took the cruise industry to court very early to ban shot requirements. He was the lead voice against it. He worked to make them widely available for anyone choosing to get them, with almost all effort focused on senior access.
So did Trump for a long while…
I think when this first started we pretty much trusted our government to not intentionally kill us.

Trump didn’t shut down anything, Fauci and the CDC arranged the shutdown.
Trump was talking to Rudy who was close to Dr. Zelenko, all discussing Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), Zinc, Ivermectin.
Trump took HCQ, then Pharmapukes and their media lapdogs gave him hell for it.
Trump got one shot and said he wouldn’t get the booster.
What Trump did do was sideline Fauci and Birx (couldn’t legally fire them) by bringing Drs. Atlas and Alexander.
when young healthy males were having heart attacks...they should have stopped any mandatory edict.

The point of the thread is to get people grounded in reality by recognizing DeSantis is not some brilliant sort of demigod.
When DeSantis speaks, it’s not his material. It’s from smart conservative in FL that had to push and push to get him to pay attention.
DeSantis never started a business, always had a government paycheck. He wouldn’t be Governor without Trump’s help.
Trump got a booster shot. Shut downs were in the hands of the Governors. Trump did NOT take HCQ.

I don’t know about DeSantis but Trump EO’d the mRnA vaccine Sept 2019 and for vaccines to be at CDC levels.
Trump did shut us down and has admitted so several times. He issued closing and opening protocol’s to each governor, did you not read it?
Trump did get boosted in 2020 and was boo’d by his followers for it (tour with Bill O’Reilly).
Trump appointed Collins (Fauci’s boss) to head up the pandemic (any pandemic) in the vaccine EO in 2019.
Collins did not want to be the face of COVID and delegated it to Fauci, but he was STILL the boss.
Trump had praised Operation Warp Speed as one of his great achievements, several times.
Yes he encouraged other methods for avoiding COVID. I’ll give you that one.
My recollection is that he was positive about mono-clonal technology, and hopping mad that Biden limited it, at least for Florida.
