I usually eat dark leaf lettuce, doesn’t work for wedge. Anyway since my mouth surgeries I cut my lettuce to make it easier to eat. My mother must be turning in her grave; “ never cut lettuce, tear it”, same rule with bread loaves.

So far just rain and sleet but as the temp drops.....
We decided to stay in today not even go to church as it is so windy and nasty out there.
Cooking would get my vote over cleaning too.😁

I have a special lettuce knife. It’s a serrated, plastic chef style knife.
I only need it for large salads (all the family/pot lucks).
My peas, fried cabbage and Mexican cornbread are just about ready.
