On Friday evening, suspended Texas Longhorns head coach Chris Beard's fiance released a statement through her attorney disputing aspects of the account she gave police officers that led to Beard's arrest and a third-degree felony charge for assault by strangulation/suffocation - family violence. I understand why. That said, I have no confidence that the truth or justice will be served in any trial. The court system is like a box of chocolates.

Women love calling the cops and using them to put him in his place. They are too stupid to realize that whether you want to prosecute or not is meaningless. Every state has law that when you tell the cop he has to arrest.

Cops see a red mark, she blathers on that it choked her.
And it was probably over him not having sex for a week and her saying no again.
And huge numbers of men have women shoving, slapping, scratching, hitting and throwing things. and they have no shelters, cops and courts default that it’s his fault. It’s massively widespread.

It would never occur to me to restrain a woman who was attacking me.
If I am outside, I can run faster and longer than 99% of women, so run is exactly what I would do.
If I am inside, I would block punches or weapons with pillows or furniture or my forearms, block kicks with my feet, all the while heading to the closest door, so I can out run her.
"Restraining" a woman has always sounded like a really fast way to end up in jail.

No, I would not wish that on anyone either. But I also wish there were not women stupid enough to go back to abusers. I have seen that. And it is unforgivable when there are children involved.
