Cmdr. Robert Ramirez III, commanding officer of SEAL Team 1, was found dead in his San Diego County residence Monday.
Naval Special Warfare Command officials said in a statement Wednesday that foul play is not suspected to have played a role in the decorated officer’s death.
Navy officials said the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s investigation remains ongoing.
“Bobby was an outstanding leader, devoted husband and father, and a good friend to us all,” Capt. David Abernathy, commanding officer of Naval Special Warfare Group 1, which manages all San Diego-based SEAL teams, said in a statement. “This is a devastating loss to our community and all who knew him. We will remain in support of Bobby’s family, friends and teammates during this extremely difficult time.”
Ramirez enlisted in 1996 and was commissioned in 2004.
He took command of SEAL Team 1 last month and arrived to the unit in June, according to his releasable service record and command officials.
His awards and decorations accrued over nearly 27 years of service include five Bronze Star Medals, two with the Combat “V” device denoting valor and acts of heroism.

The guys dead and you care about some shot? How uncaring has this country gotten. Sick to its core.
Guaranteed clot-shot victim
...and all of them could be classified as a permanent solution to a temporary problem.
That said, it is difficult to understand the depths to which one must sink to forget God, family, country, and end life before your time. If such can be said.
Have a good friend who has had a child and now a brother, who have gone that way. She is left with a desire to understand, but those with the reasons are gone.
A friend of mine was medically retired from a branch of Navy Special forces. PTSD and some other stuff has really affected him.
He recently did a stint at a treatment facility and has the full support of family and friends.
The first step is the hardest.
Boosters are recommended but aren't required in the Navy. As of now, just the initial cycle of two shots.
Suicide........................
The first step is the hardest.

Yup. When your training is to be tough and endure, it’s more than difficult to not only recognize you can’t dig out of the mental hole without help and then you have to be totally honest with the therapist or whoever is working with you & that is often very hard as well.
Glad your friend is getting help & has support, all critical to making it through the mental ‘darkness’.
It happens. Remember Curt Cobain?
Yes, he was a drug addled gay rock musician.................
He wasn’t gay. He was married to Courtney love and they had a daughter. Yep he did have drug issues. Everybody has their own demons.
"Everyone is gay!"
This should be a very positive development for our side.
With a much higher percentage of Dems/libs being vaxxed.
The death and debilitation should really swing the electorate.
I saw him last week and he said he’s in a really good place.
So you think it’s OK that these so-called vaccines are injuring and killing so many people?
The evidence is accumulating and is now overwhelming that these mRNA injections cause tremendous damage and death.
This officer who died is not reported to have had any medical condition that would result in his death. He died suddenly and he was certainly injected with what is now known to be lethal in many, many cases.
Of course, I and others would make a connection. That’s not a sign of uncaring people; quite the opposite.
COVID shot/clotting death.
He was not trans and did not support the trans agenda. His career was over.
Yeah, this one is for my second booster, and this one is acing for my gender training class...
Whatever was torturing him, he found it overwhelming. May he find peace at last.
It’s not near the million that we lost before the vaccine. Get back to me when we have thousands a day not ones and twos here and there.
In 2007, DeSantis reported to the Naval Special Warfare Command Group in Coronado, California, where he was assigned to SEAL Team One and deployed to Iraq with the troop surge as the legal advisor to the SEAL Commander of the Special Operations Task Force-West in Fallujah.
