It was so cold in Washington today that for a.moment President Zelensky had his hands in his own pockets.
Russian oligarchs oppose Putin - “Putin has lost his mind”

Russian oligarchs are dissatisfied with Putin
According to a large-scale study published by the influential newspaper “The New York Times,” as the cracks in Russia’s war against Ukraine deepened, Russian oligarchs, who were sanctioned by the West, now say that Russian President Vladimir Putin deceived them. For this reason, they previously supported Putin’s intervention in Ukraine.
“The Times” writes that many of Putin’s senior advisers did not know the exact extent of his plans to attack Ukraine on February 24. His senior assistants in the Kremlin, trying to read his body language, told some that Putin had a ‘warlike glow’ in his eyes.
“If everyone around you has been telling you that you are a super-genius for 22 years, then you will begin to believe that you are like that,” Oleg Tinkov, a former Russian banking magnate who turned from Putin this year, told The Times. “Russian businessmen, Russian officials, Russian people - they saw the tsar in him. He just lost his mind.”
However, as the “special military operation” dragged on, some Russian oligarchs expressed their doubts and disappointments after being subjected to severe sanctions by Western powers as a result of their alliance with Putin.
Coal and fertilizer billionaire Andrei Melnichenko witnessed “madness” in Ukraine on February 24. But there was already a meeting with Putin scheduled for that day. He joined the ranks of other business magnates who were equally surprised by Putin’s invasion. Finally, when Putin entered the room, he said that he had no choice but to support the invasion, because of the access to the crowd and the cameras installed behind them.
Melnichenko told The Times that the invasion was “illogical and shocking.” Another business magnate told the newspaper that they gathered in front of the cameras for a show of support without knowing Putin’s decision to invade, even if they did not agree with them.
An anonymous businessman told The Times, the stunt’s goal was to “target everyone there in particular” and “sanction everyone.”

The New York Times has published a new investigation about the start of a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. It contains a description of secret Russian documents, combat plans, interviews with Russian soldiers and Kremlin confidants.
A group of reporters studied the issue that arose just months after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine: Why has Russia failed to achieve its goals in Ukraine? And also why, despite a series of shameful defeats on the frontline, Vladimir Putin is ready to continue sacrificing a large number of his soldiers and resources?

I think putting Biden and Zelensky on television is a big mistake. Americans probably aren’t paying attention to the Ukraine stealing our money when its just numbers on the screen, its a bit abstract and not even covered by most new sources
Having him right on network tv is a slap in the face to all decent Americans. Especially standing next to Biden a man indirectly responsible for the mess in the first place.

Is he more courageous than the soldiers on the front lines? Absolutely not. That honor belongs to the troops who hold fast in spite of superior Russian firepower, day in and day out. As political leaders go, however, he’s pretty fearless. And showing up near the front lines carries real risks, as numerous high level Russian commanders discovered, just before their demise.
This disgusting Zlicky display is on every channel, I finally found something watchable in Sanford and Son.

“Dear St. Nicholas. When the war started, a bomb fell on my house, so there’s no house any more. My father went to the war, but died on September 1st. I miss him very much. I’d like to ask you for what is the most important: that all our soldiers and those who help them live long and win this war as soon as possible.

Forgive me for not buying into the PR shtick. If nothing else, he's better at it than his own Defense Ministry:
