Definitely.
People like myself that might be considered “a little to motivated/wound up” need to workout less even.
Too hard, too often can interfere with hormones and inflammation.
It was hard to accept that I should do less, but I now do since it’s beneficial.
I’m closer to 50 than 40, but was working out like I was a 20’s pro athlete.
Time is undefeated...
Men’s Health Print Magazine only $7.00 RIGHT NOW! but usually goes for more. Lots of good workout ideas in there. I got a one year subscription for $5. I will drop it when it runs out.
Yeah, you cannot overdo. This is why elderly Chinese do Tai-Chi instead of jogging. At 70, my goal is 90 minutes walking fast every morning. I met it the last three days.
Good job.
I some Qi-gong and yoga every once in a while.
I do meditation at least once a day. (hyper-minded guy)
I lift 2 or 3 times a week, and do hill sprints when it’s warm-er. (Apr-Nov)
I occasionally swim and do bike intervals as well.(when not sprinting)
I’ll probably do a little less in my mid fifties.

When younger, you can eat and process thousands of calories each day. Exercise and life and whatever to make use of them. You cannot do the same amount of calorie processing at age 45
I learned that the hard way some years ago.
I did my last “bulk up” training.
I think I put on 2 lbs of muscle and 18 of fat.
It wasn’t fun losing the weight…
Due to knees and shoulders, I cannot run or lift. The super simple Qi-gong is Stand on Stake aka Zhan Zhuang https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Stand+on+Stake
You will be sweating within 12 minutes
Maharishi TM mantras >>>> https://onhighroads.com/transcendental-meditation-mantras/
Thanks for the links. 🙏
I like the TM mantras. I got one officially when I was 22. I went to the local TM center. Paid $20 to get it in a kinda ceremony. I use it at night when I cannot sleep. It usually works. Mine is>>> ienga. It should work for you too.
Back then the mantra ienga was given to all who were 22-23 years old. lolzzz what a system. But the Maharishi lived to age 90, so is legit in my book.
Yes, I agree that its a digestive enhancer and that is why it’s harder to sleep, as mine is rather sluggish normally.
Thank-you again, juicing and ice cube trays sounds great. I’ll check out the link too.
