Cannabis and Tylenol are the only things that work on my severe arthritis. Keep your damn pain pills.
You sound surprised.
I made oil with it and use it topically. It seems to eliminate the dull ache of arthritis. I imagine smoking it helps with pain because you are so focused on how stoned you are.
With a title like “in some cases” you can’t be wrong.
I have no idea if it works...I never tried it, but I’m just pointing out what a garbage headline.
Placebo effect? MAYBE....
But if it works, it’s better than pilesof opioid.
I’m a hospice nurse. Some of my patients swear weed is better for their ills... who are we to tell them no?
This may very well be true, nut how many placebos can get you higher than a MF’er!
Just sayin...
There are at least two aspects to pain. Namely, how bad it hurts AND how much it affects you.
I can’t smoke anything (lungs are like Swiss cheese from many bouts of pneumonia and Valley Fever to boot) but I do micro-dose edibles, typically 10 mg Sativa during the day. If I’m having a bad day it helps even if only by giving me better ability to focus on other things.
For sleeping with pain I find a similar higher dose of Indica is wonderful.
After a 12 hour surgery and months of torture fighting 3 different kinds of cancer, MMJ kept me off a bucket load of pharmaceuticals. I can pretty much guess who was behind this article.
My daughter rubbed some oil on my forehead and it took my headache away. I didn’t imagine it, and I was skeptical it would work
It’s always been a scam.
It works great for ptsd. I wouldn’t take it for longer than needed to work through the trauma but it sure helps during those hard times. Damn life saver in my opinion.
Bottom line:
I enjoy smoking weed and love getting baked. Simple as that.
Medical usage—I do believe it can alleviate certain pains and may have quite a few medical usages but all this medical marijuana dispensaries and clinics is nonsense.
Some people like toking for whatever reasons (socially, creatively, relaxation, sensual....whatever) and some people just dont like it.
And you know what, I don’t recall ever asking the government or some stupid researcher what I should put in to my body. you don’t like weed, don’t use it.
Then we should legalize placebos too
Of course it’s a myth.
It’s a way to get it legal…
…which it absolutely should be.

Marijuana appears to have the same pain-relieving effect as a placebo.
Appears true when THC is removed from marijuana it’s not liked the THC is the buzz factor it’s all about the buzz kind of like the near beer deal.
The FR drug dealers aren’t going to like this.
“Medical” marijuana was never real. It was always intended, by the left, as the nose under the camels tent for legalized pot down the road.
