The Hijacking of Pediatric Medicine

Thousands of pediatricians convened in Anaheim, Calif., in early October for the American Academy of Pediatrics’s (AAP) annual conference. The group, which boasts 67,000 members in the United States and around the world describes itself as "dedicated to the health of all children."

So some audience members were shocked when Dr. Morissa Ladinsky, an associate professor of pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, lauded a transgender teenager for committing suicide. 

In an address about "standing up for gender-affirming care," Ladinsky eulogized Leelah Alcorn, an Ohio 17-year-old who, in Ladinsky’s words, "stepped boldly in front of a tractor trailer, ending her life," in 2014, after leaving a suicide note that "went viral, literally around the world."

The American Academy of Pediatrics has gone woke, with terrible consequences for kids.

We now have a de facto NHS that will do and say anything ordered by Deep State in order to hold on to their licenses and jobs.

Good grief. Does any sane person consider suicide an affirming answer to one’s problems? What ever happened to “do no harm?”

The day will come when the "elites" will affirm that the trans fad is unhealthy and will each loudly proclaim they were against it all along, that the parties "switched sides" or whatever so blame Repubs for the Dims' old party line, etc.

I pray that day happens sooner rather than later.

These aren’t merely differences in opinion which are cropping up, rather they are LUNACY! Sheer LUNACY! Ideas utterly un-respectworthy by decent civilized intelligent people. I don’t know where all of this crazy is going but I have no intention of living with these people. This is something which must be resolved period.

When I grew up doctors, particularly pediatricians, were our friends.

Now I look at them as enemies and have ZERO trust in them. I did take my kids there when sick, but it was in and out, no small talk, nothing regarding any social/developmental issues, NOTHING. For all I know, and which is likely true, anything that I discuss will follow that kid for the rest of his life, and may well impact him in many ways (such as buying a gun, for example).

It sounds like somewhere along the line, a lot of goodwill got flushed down the drain by those docs. What a waste.
