The American Left agrees with the suppression of liberty there and anywhere else.
Why is the far Left on board with the suppression of liberty in China?
The past few days have witnessed extraordinary events in Red China, with protestors literally risking their lives as they battle hazmat-clad riot police in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou. As Tucker Carlson noted in a recent video, unless you read some of the English papers, you wouldn’t know that Chinese President Xi Jinping had sent tanks to put down these protests.
Even worse, the people who supposedly stand for liberty -- with many on the pro-freedom Right helping their cause by labeling them as ‘liberals’ -- are actively working to suppress free speech or censor what their authoritarian brethren are doing to these people.
Carlson ascribes this behavior to possible financial motivations, but the real reasons are far deeper and darker than that. While some of these corporations may have monetary connections, that doesn’t explain why the rest of the nation’s socialist media isn’t fully covering this oppression.
So, why are they doing this?
The answer is rather simple and straightforward if you understand the basics of the individualist Right and the collectivist Left.
We of the pro-freedom Right believe in individual rights and liberties. Anti-liberty leftists only believe in collective ‘rights’ and ‘liberties.’ These are non-existent for the individual since they are only possessed by the group.

This is their goal for us as well. The atrocities of leftist governments through history will be repeated if they gain totalitarian power here.
No surprise there. They want the exact same thing for us.
China sends chemicals to Mexico for fenthanyl manufacture for the sole puRpose of killing aMERICANS?
AND WE CLUTCH PEARLS AND WHINE?
since when!
Why are we not supplying huge sub rosa arms and munitions shipments to the anti government rioters all across China. BALDLY!
And when China protests we say , “ HOw do you like us now?”
"Why is the far Left on board with the suppression of liberty in China?"
It is because the Left (and not just the "far Left") in America are ideological soul-mates with Communist China, or Communists anywhere, for that matter.
It has been that way since the 1920's.
I am all for that. We are already at war, and have been for some time.
It is going to turn hot at some point, too, as long as the Communists remain in charge.
The Left is drunk on power as they’re gaming the voting system.
The simplest truth of the progressive leftists is contained in a slightly modified famous movie line...”Listen. And understand. The leftists are out there. They cannot be bargained with. They cannot be reasoned with. They feel no pity or remorse or fear. And they absolutely will not stop, ever, until every conservative is dead”. And that, my friends, is the “final solution” the typical radical progressive leftist is seeking to implement. Not pretty but pretty simple.
Shame we can’t materialize a few million rifles into the hands of the more motivated Chinese protesters
“The Left is on board with the suppression of liberty in China”...
...because, you know, COVID!
(It’s the Black Plague, for those who don’t get it!)
Our freedom will die quietly. Not enough people in our country today have the will to take up arms and actually do something against the tyranny we all know is slowly taking us over. We have so many laws from the Federal and State governments that all of us are probably breaking at least one of them everyday and don’t know it because there is so many. Freedom? No....we aren’t really free and there’s not much that we can do except get online and voice our frustrations.
It’s also actual racism.
Coming to America:
Chinese leaked video. Man in his own home beat up by government officials for complaining about Covid restrictions being too harsh.

Anyone drawing any sort of distinction between Western “leftists” and CCP members is a bit of a naive fool. Or, part of the problem.
The suppression of dissent by any means is the hallmark of leftist regimes. We now know that Trudeau nearly sent in tanks to crush the truckers COVID protest. We sadly are seeing it the US as well. Biden has ham handedly suggested that the US military would be dispatched to quash dissenters. The leftists in the US have already achieved a level of censorship that would have been unthinkable years ago. The FBI has now morphed into a Stasi like secret police sending heavily armed goon squads to haul away protesters in chains for having the audacity to pray in front of abortion centers or question the authority of local school boards.
We won’t be using blank pieces of paper to show our displeasure here in the US.
Not at all surprised. The American left did all it could to hide the crimes of Stalin against the Ukraine in the 1930s. The left funded commie regimes in central America in the 80s. What is strange is at one time they were against labor exploitation in the far east. Not any more I guess?
As soon as Zelensky uses up his usefulness, the left will back Russia and Putin again. They’re OK with their oppression.
But Russia and China are a matter of contention in the left. Classical Marxists back them. New leftists are for the WEF, who hate Putin and Xi.
Kind of like the Russian FSB, which the left wants to model the FBI after. We need to take control of the Russia narrative and shove it down the Left’s throats. And yes Russia is not our friend (and so are the Chicoms).
I was at a public university in the early ‘90s, and I wondered at how so many of my liberal professors openly and unapologetically promoted Marxist perspectives and theorists.
Not once did any of them address the practical record or history of communist countries or try to articulate how things like Tiananmen Square fit into their overall worldview. They merely omitted all mention of communist countries, as if there had been no Cold War. My family background was partly Eastern European during communism, so I was especially attuned to these issues. But my classmates, too, never raised any questions, perhaps because the professors, leading the class, signaled such talk was “out of bounds”.
I mistakenly concluded at the time that my professors really didn’t support communism in practice. They were merely giving critiques of capitalism, and that’s all “Marxism” meant to them. And critiques of capitalism can be made from all sorts of perspectives. But so too should those critiques be subject to critiques themselves. I’ve come to see, from seeing the social media posts of some of my old professors, that they really do think that “capitalism” is bad, and communism is good.
