What is a Red Dirt artist? Is that something like Native American sand painting?

Red dirt is a type of country music originating in Texas and Oklahoma. Comes from the color of the dirt roads and farms around the Red River.
Not the country that originates in Nashville.

They could have stated Red Dirt singer then.
Rest in Peace young man. My Mom was born in Oklahoma.

Okay, died after he realized who he had married? Or did she just work him to death, literally, and years before most wives accomplish this result as they outlive their husbands?

No, Red Dirt is a sub-genre of country music from Oklahoma, comparable to Texas Outlaw. It refers to the color of high-clay Oklahoma dirt. The Red Dirt Radio Show, out of Tulsa, Oklahoma referred to an already existing name, but helped cement (or clay) the definition.

Attila the Hun died during the night following his wedding. Also known for his warm personality, but not for any songs as far as I know.
