No, Red Dirt is a sub-genre of country music from Oklahoma, comparable to Texas Outlaw. It refers to the color of high-clay Oklahoma dirt. The Red Dirt Radio Show, out of Tulsa, Oklahoma referred to an already existing name, but helped cement (or clay) the definition.
