I hate that area always scart the pee pee out of me
I had a buddy on a bike that had a mattress come off the roof of a car in front of him.
at least motorcycle guy had decent protective gear and gloves, although the pants will never come clean.
I am sure he is hurting a lot.
Been a motorcycle rider for over 50 years, including the freeways of Southern California. Sold both of my motorcycles this year and am officially retired from Motorcycles. It was a great “ride” so to speak but age coupled with how dangerous it is out there now....it was time. The cell phone is a game changer. Too many people on their cell phones....causing too many accidents.
I got out alive and I’m happy.
I thought the whole thing was going to happen on the right of the motorcycle and when it did finally occur I literally was shocked, moving backwards and closing my eyes!
Wow!
Driver of that stolen van has died. = Poetic Justice.
The guy on the motorcycle probably thought he was halucinating: “Is that an SUV I see flying towards my general direction like a burning meteor? Why yes. It most certainly is!”
I know so many people who were killed on bikes it’s insane, including my own uncle. I use to have one in the early 1980s until I got cut off and had a spill and that was it for me. There’s just too many lunatics on the road.
Glad the cyclist survived the incident. I hope he receives a full recovery.
I am glad the guy on the motorcycle survived.
Only a few days ago I read an article about flying cars coming soon to a city near you.
Flying trucks would be much more hazardous to Earthbound vehicles.
Don’t care
I used to live in Malibu, just a short distance from Kanan-Dume, which was the N alernative to Malibu Canyon to go over the hill to the Ventura Fwy.
It is pretty steep at the end to PCH. There used to be a runaway truch catch at the end but it looks like they removed it.
PCH is so fricking dangerous. People drive crazy at all hours of the day/night, though it is a beautiful drive early Sunday mornings. Getting out of Gladstones4Fish was often quite scary.
We need more SUV control. SUV violence is worse than gun violence.
The guy driving the stolen Lexus was keeping a suicide appointment with that embankment and the truck just happened to come into his path... he never did have any intent of making the corner. Not only is the mbike rider incredibly lucky, but a microsecond also earlier and the truck driver would have been gone too.
