Covid hospitalized him for 453 days. Now he’s home for the holidays.

The Bellaire, Tex., man had contracted a bad case of the coronavirus in August 2021 before being confined to a hospital for months...

Most of his doctors were not optimistic that he’d be able to leave the hospital at all. And if he did, doctors told Crochet’s wife, he would probably be in a vegetative state.

But after 453 days in the hospital recovering from the virus and an array of complications, Crochet rolled out of the facility in a wheelchair...

Crochet headed home in a new phase of the pandemic when, for the first time in the United States, more people who have received at least the primary series of a coronavirus vaccine are dying of covid-19 than those who have not, according to an analysis conducted for The Post’s Health 202 by Cynthia Cox, vice president of the Kaiser Family Foundation. Fifty-eight percent of coronavirus deaths in August were people who were vaccinated or boosted, the analysis showed.

By the way I am at age 82, my wife is 68 and a cancer patient, we both got covid same day, probably got infected at her cancer clinic where we had spend several hours. We both had 4 shots starting 2 years ago. We went on 5 cruises during last 14 months, never got infected. May be we should have got another booster in October since the previous booster was in April this year.

I don’t know it it was the shots which helped us get better in 2 days from covid or it was the treatment kit. Anyways we should have natural immunity for 3-4 months so no need for a booster for 4 months.

There is a possibility the shots may have shortened the recovery time. That is exactly what vaccines are supposed to do. I recovered from smallpox quickly at age 10 after being vaccinated 2 years prior. Smallpox is 50 times higher mortality rate than covid.

Looks like it, or at least I think so anyway. When I caught it back in April, I took Paxlovid. I only had fatigue for a day. Then severe cough and some sniffles for five days or so. No fever. But yeah, I was triple vaccinated.

The hospital nearly killed him and made a mint treating the effects.

the shots didn’t save you from the wuflu, huh?

you actually did the Zelenko protocol.

maybe you should complement your doctor and his kit on his knowledge and homage to one of the greatest doctors ever to live.

He had a 5% chance of coming off the ventilator to begin with. He only had a 30% chance of surviving the first year after being on the ventilator so it’s not surprising.

My older son and I got COVID but had no symptoms. I had us tested 6 months later for antibodies to see if we really had COVID and we were chock full of antibodies.

There is a very salient item of information that you are neglecting to state.

Jabbed or unjabbed?

And: Comorbidities?

A month later he dropped dead in the bathroom.

Slipped on some soap?

By the way I am at age 82, my wife is 68 and a cancer patient [...]

That is not "by the way" information!

That is vitally important info which should first be headlined before sharing any further statements about your personal Covid experiences.

Otherwise, a lot of "normal" people are, at first, going to mistakenly believe that it has any relevancy whatsoever for them.

You and your wife are extreme outliers, and have nothing of value to share that could be of possible use to average, healthy, young people.

I was in hospital 2 weeks with sepsis after routine surgery. If it wasn’t for the wonderful(and very cute) nurses I would have welcomed death.

Thank you for the two posts to me and for sharing all the information.

You have a good preventative plan to stay well.

Very best wishes to you and your wife.

Daily I take Quercetin, Magnesium Glycinate, Selenium, D3, K2, Zinc, C, a multivitamin.

You might want to take D3 and K2 which compliments the D3.

Regards-

That was my first thought. Likely the “medical care” he received was at fault.

Notice the fear porn angle, too.

One out of millions and the MSM runs with the story as if it’s anyone who catches Covid’s future.

4 other people in my immediate family
Are between ages 29 & 34, all are college graduates, all had 4 shots of covid vaccine, 2 of them got covid, but recovered quickly without needing hospitalization.
May be they are outliers as well because of higher education levels than most.

Which idiot told you vaccines prevent infection?
No vaccine ever built a virus proof filter in the nose.
Only function of any vaccine is to create additional tools in body to fight virus AFTER infection.

The most successful vaccine which eradicated smallpox from earth did not prevent me from getting infected. But I survived smallpox which kills 50 times more patients than covid.

No, having a slightly higher educational level does not automatically make one an outlier.

Being 10 lbs. overweight, having an Associate of Arts degree from the local J.C., etc. do not make one an outlier.

Being a diabetic, having a chronic heart condition, having only one kidney, being 85 years old, currently undergoing chemotherapy, etc. - those things make one an extreme outlier.

What grinds my gears is people posting here about their Covid experiences, and making bold claims (either pro- or anti-vaxx) based upon their personal experiences - but neglecting to first list their comorbidities, vaxx status, etc.

Pureblood all.
The wife has sarcoidosis.
The son who was hospitalized doesn’t have any comorbidites.
