Saccharin, cyclamate and acesulfame-K (called Ace-K) were the sweetners.
If you are wondering what cyclamate is, it’s a tasty sugar substitute available in Canada, but not here.
That’s okay, because acesulfame-K is available here, and was best against Acinetobacter baumannii and aeruginosa bacteria.

This prompted me to see what kind of sweetener Splenda is that I use in my cup of coffee every morning. But before I get to the Acey-K, saccharine, cyclamate stuff I see - Splenda has been known to significantly reduce GUT FLORA.....so now I’m off on a WTF is Gut Flora..... and gut microbes etc.... yeah, I get it....the good, the bad and the ugly.
It just ticks me off that the FDA and everybody and their buddy will regulate, control and expound endlessly on things like this but won’t tell you anything truthful about their ‘VAXXINE’....

Cyclamates was banned here in the 70’s. I seem to recall having a “Ban Cyclamates” sticker on a school book one time. Didn’t really know what artificial sweeteners were. Didn’t care. TAB was only thing about artificial sweeteners I had any real knowledge of. Man that was nasty stuff.
I drank real coke. Not the new improved version with HFCS. Cane sugar.
Don’t really consume much sugar. I like it fine, but don’t seem to need it so much as to use artificial.
