It’s saccharin still a thing? I thought it was banned in the 70s and replaced with 80s artificial sweeteners such as NutriSweet, Sweet n Low and Splenda

Saccharin has a colorful history. In 2010 saccharin was declared ok by the EPA, after claims of carcinogenic issues over many years. Other than the health concerns decades ago, saccharin has a bitter aftertaste which many find unpleasant for a sweetener.

That was cyclamate, perfect sweet flavor, no after taste, no off flavor notes.

Sweet n Low is saccharin.
