Avatar: The Way of Water Final Trailer Shows Off Pandora's Oceans and Teases a New Conflict
James Cameron is teasing new landscapes on Pandora and a new conflict in the final trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water.
On Tuesday, 20th Century Studios released the final trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water, which hits theaters over a decade after the director's 2009 film Avatar.
The long-awaited sequel meets the original film's main characters Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) as parents for a new adventure.
The sequel's "cinematic experience reaches new heights" as 68-year-old writer-director Cameron "transports audiences back to the magnificent world of Pandora in a spectacular and stirring action-packed adventure," reads an official description for the movie.
The sequel — the first of four more planned installments in the science fiction franchise — follows Jake and Neytiri's family and "the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure," according to an official logline.

Miss Rush 5 days a week.
i enjoyed the first one... i’ll be pateint and wait for the 3.99 rental on amazon.
I didn’t know he was.
Raimi’s best ever is Evil Dead 2 starring Bruce Campbell.
Ash is the man.
Wasn’t the the original Avatar the beginning of when this woke pc garbage started?
The first Avatar made a big splash but was quickly forgotten.
I saw the first one, was impressed by the cutting edge graphics and cinematic techniques.
The rest, and the director not so much.
Give me Rod Serling any day. Imagine the 100s of films he could have made for 2 billion dollars adjusted for inflation of course.
What you are going to see is a vision of the near future.
A future where genders are fluid, where corporations control freedom of speech a future where cops are bastards, and politicians are worse.
A place where all white people are guilty of crimes their ancestors did not commit, and masks are a status symbol.
A utopian society where beloved world leaders might play the piano with their penis.
An Orwellian place where the lack of privacy is a celebrated reality
Highest grossing film ever.
Took my son to see “Devotion” tonight. Not bad. Little schmaltzy at the end.
The trailers were:
(1) Avatar: nuff said.
(2) Some gay rom/com/dram with 2 guys sucking face on the bed and taking long walks on the beach. Ugh.
(3) Something with four 80-year-old ladies that go to the Super Bowl with no tickets and end up dancing in the halftime show with a drag queen. Neato.
(4) Some stupid action movie where bad guys do a home invasion and Santa Claus comes to save the day with reindeer and guns a’blazin. I kid you not.
Needless to say, we won’t be going back to the movies again for at least a while.
Led by Colonel Miles Quaritch.
He looks like a Republican, amirite?
It’s more that white capitalists are destroying everything - the main Pandoran characters were all portrayed by actors of color.
Coincidence? I think not.
Probably right.
“action movie where bad guys do a home invasion and Santa Claus comes to save the day with reindeer and guns a’blazin.”
If done properly with good optics, and the proper Santa actor I could envision this being a cult classic and eventually being more popular than the avatar movie.
He’ll always be Ike Clanton from Tombstone to me.
If it’s the movie from a commercial I have seen, it’s the Sheriff from Stranger Things.
David Harbour.
What gets me is the ramifications of the human’s losing. They needed the whatever the power source was because earth was running out of energy.
Didn’t see the collapse of life on earth because Worthington wanted to be a nine foot Smurf.
Luckily liberals will get a good taste of it this winter as petroleum products will be in short supply in America and Western Europe.
Thanks Joe!
The Blue Thundercats Movie!
I’ll be shocked if it even makes a billion.
Black Wakanda is struggling, projections are being downgraded, and that’s a cultural zeitgeist movie even more recent.
I liked Avatar for nothing more than the technology they used to create and film the movie with. It was cool for that aspect.
As for the movie itself? Pure crap. Capitalists bad, natives good. Capitalists want to destroy the world, natives preserve... same old BS and lies.
