My oh my.... This outbreak guided my understanding of this disease from the beginning. I thought it was PROOF that this virus was airborne... so, masks would be useless.
This is interesting, to say the least.
We knew it was all lies it was painfully obvious. But we were silenced.
It was mass hysteria.
I remember this story and how ludicrous it was.
Here’s the post from 2020 on it.

Look how many bought it lock stock and barrel.
Here is my comment on the thread.

You can't make this stuff up.
“given that the virus’ incubation period at that time was as short as two days.”
What is the incubation period now about the same?
I was under the impression it was much quicker than this
Love it! These Brits from a medical school and university blow that CDC study that scared everyone about superspreader events and how excessively infectious the virus was.
“We re-examine the original report and additional information, along with the conclusions drawn and the reliance placed upon them by other researchers. We argue that the interpretations placed on the initial report are, in several key respects, unsustainable. We present analysis of the epidemic curve, showing that the outbreak data have been wrongly interpreted, and argue that the distribution of symptom onset is not consistent with a point source superspreader event. Any modelling based on this assumption should be treated with caution and its claimed implications for policy should not go unquestioned.
