Jason David Frank, who portrayed Tommy Oliver – the original Green and White Ranger – in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers,” died in Texas, his rep confirmed to TMZ on Sunday. He was 49.
“Please respect the privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being,” Justine Hunt said in a statement.
“He loved his family, friends and fans very much. He will truly be missed.”

I am not personally sure how the loss of this Mighty Morphin Power Ranger will affect me and mine as I and my family and friends go through the various stages of grief invariably associated with this sudden and tragic absence, but we will slog through it. It is the Power Rangers’ legacy, more than anything, really, which has taught us to persevere.
one of my cousins lost one of their kids to suicide. I can understand how the actors’ family feels.
I am so glad my daughter was too old for that when it started up.

I personally believe that tattoos are a form of body mutilation and that people mutilate their bodies because they hate themselves.

I would say, on average, that those with tattoos are less risk averse.
No one I know with tattoos, which is most, hates themselves.
I agree that many here would say it’s “bodily mutilation” or against God’s creation.
Many I know are agnostic and don’t think what many here do.
Statistically N=1 is meaningless overall, but the only suicide I personally know had zero tattoos.

Our Ace Hardware store up the road has a young lady working the cash register. She's nice enough, but full nose ring, facial jewelry, constantly changing hair color, etc. She always has long sleeves on, but one hot day this summer she wore short sleeves. Both arms had "X" scar marks up and down them. It finally dawned on me she had cut herself a LOT when younger and those were scars upon scars upon scars. It was the saddest thing ever to see. At least she's alive and working and she's actually quite nice. I cannot imagine that level of self-hate.
Wow. That’s a horrible assumption. I have tons of friends with lots of tattoos, including Marines, and I wouldn’t attribute ink to self-loathing. Tons of non-tattooed people hate themselves; it’s not a hallmark of anything. People get tattoos which have a meaning to them - unless they’re drunk or high at the time, in which case the tattooist wasn’t supposed to do the ink.
I have, “Love” tattooed on my right hand, and plan to get the staff of Asclepius on my back when I pass as an EMT, more if I ever get to finish my nursing degree, and my brother has a sleeve of Hayao Miyazaki’s artwork that extends over his chest - it’s beautiful.
Tons of non-inked persons kill themselves daily. Your ignorance on the subject should give you some pause.

They should at least encourage their clients to consult with a good financial advisor. Turn at least some of whatever they’re making into ongoing passive income instead of wasting it all.
I’m sorry for your loss, that is always sad. He was a very handsome guy. My daughter loved this silly show.
I had a cousin who killed herself in 1960……I remember every minute of that day…..yes,I’m old.
