A brave 19-year-old fast food worker from the Bay Area lost her eye after she tried to stop a man from bullying a special needs boy.
Bianca Palomera was working at Habit Burger Grill in Antioch, California on Nov. 12 when she noticed four men harassing a special needs boy — the brother of one of her coworkers who was waiting until their shift ended, KNTV reported.

I know an older guy who nearly did exactly that. He was pushed and threated by a much younger suspect. They old guy pulled his gun and told the suspect he had big med issues, and was on blood thinners and would shoot him dead if he didn't back off. The suspect backed off and left the area.
I admire this brave young lady for her bravery and courage and am sad that she has lost the use of her right eye.

No, you could still be right. I saw the same image, and thought the same, but then watched the video. You can't see the person's face who swings, but the hands in later seconds seem to be white, or at least light-skinned.
I don't think the black guy in the foreground is associated -- he seems to be looking over the menu to order -- but they don't participate in the fight.

The video depicts black males attacking a much smaller ‘white’ person (which is the victim who lost the eye).
