The commercial closes with David rejecting FTX, with a voice-over warning that said: “Don’t be like Larry. Don’t miss out on the next big thing.” ...
Tom Brady’s FTX investment began when he and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, bought an undisclosed equity stake in FTX in June 2021....
But after news broke on November 3 that FTX could be facing a liquidity crisis, investors scrambled to withdraw their holdings, demanding withdrawals worth $6 billion. FTX promptly froze all accounts. On Friday, November 11, 2022, Bankman-Fried stood down as CEO and the company filed for bankruptcy with potentially more than one million creditors in the lurch....
The lawsuit alleges that these sports and TV celebrities brought instant credibility to FTX, and should be held just as culpable as its disgraced now former-CEO Bankman-Fried....

Remember Long-term Capital Management. Founded by some of the “smartest” men in the world. Nobel Prize winners in Economics. Full professor of finance-designers of models that are understandable by people with at a minimum M.S. degrees in math or physics. They placed their bets and the market went the other way and puff billions of dollars disappeared. The professors went from billionaires to millionaires over night-too bad too sad.
OK, Tom & Gisele stretch out the divorce proceeedings and the bulk of the estate goes to whichever is least exposed to the FTX problems.
A lot of the guys that I worked with at VAFB were retired Air Force. They retired from the military on Friday and started work with various contractors on the following Monday.
That was massive for my AFSC. 9S100.

I once worked with a military retiree who was financially very comfortable owing to a post-military job and ownership of a small but profitable business. He decided to retire to Florida and was bored out of his mind. A year later he was back in the office.
Yep. Brady is a fabulous football player with All American Boy good looks, but he’s very average — at best — in the intellectual dept. As another poster suggested, you can be sure his FTX involvement wasn’t his idea. He was talked into it by scheming financial advisers, agents, etc., shysters with the morals of a Bankman-Fried.
Why that shaking spaz hasn’t been yanked out of his Bahamas mansion is confusing to me.

That thought had not occurred to me but you may be on to something.
Brady has a very lucrative sportscasting contract lined up with Fox Sports for when he does retire from the NFL, but those contracts typically come with ethics clauses. If it turns out that Brady was up to his neck in this FTX business, that would give Fox Sports an out on the contract.

When Bernie Madoff was indicted, I think it turned out that a lot of very wealthy people lost virtually everything. I think it’s very possible that Brady may have lost a ton of cash. Imagine the bills he has to make monthly payments on.
It’s hard for many to flip the switch.
I have hobbies, so I will be fine not working, but I have a gym problem.
I probably workout harder and more often than is beneficial.
It started at 13 training for sports, then for PJ Indoc, and now for Masters Track & Field.
It often pisses people off, but I have a hard time not going to the gym.
Brady will be fine.

Gisele was into witchcraft and it’s even been admitted. There is more going on here what’s happening to them.Look’s like God gave them time to repent and they didn’t. jmho
