Scott Ritter - Ukraine Russia War - Where is it Going?
Judging Freedom ^ | November 17, 2022 | Scott Ritter

Posted on 11/17/2022 3:26:01 PM PST by Cathi

Another excellent interview. Scott Ritter differs from Col. MacGregor who thinks the errant Ukrainian missile crashing into Poland was "probably" a mistake.

Ritter thinks it was a deliberate strike on Poland to force NATO into the conflict (Article4/5) But, he thinks it was done by a rogue "nationalist" (read neo-nazi) who control the missile batteries in the Western part of Ukraine which is where the missile strike originated from without Zelensky's knowledge.

He also feels there is no possibility of a negotiated settlement at this time because Zelensky will not accept reality.

"Ritter: How do we end this conflict? And Burns was having a frank discussion, I believe, with his Russian counterpart and received some hard truths. And the hard truths are what I just told you. 'Hey, William baby, 200,000 troops show up on the battle field next month .....we didn't mobilize them for nothing. Don't come to us and ask for a diplomatic off ramp. We're winning this war. We are going to win this war and if you want the war to end you have to give us something that we're going to get anyways. The key here isn't that we give up something; it's what you want Ukraine to preserve. Do you want them to preserve Odessa and continued access to the sea then they must end this conflict now on our terms, not their terms.'

It's going to be a tough time for Ukraine. Look, I am taking this smile off my face because this is tragic. They literally are going into the stone age right now and they only have themselves to blame.

Judge N: All of this is part or your view of a bigger disease, a disease of the mind in Western diplomats and particularly American diplomats that America has the God given right to control the world and can finance puppets to fight for that control and then can tell those puppets what kind of government they should establish. I mean you've told us many times, Phil Geraldi has, Co. MacGregor that this war started in 2014 and it started by the CIA fomenting a revolution against a popularly elected, albeit pro-Russian government.

Ritter: I accuse America with being infected with the disease of hubris, national hubris. The arrogance that comes with that. Read the National Security document that was just published by the Biden administration and look at the emphasis it is placing on "the rules based international order." Then ask yourself what is the rules based international order? It's not international law set by the United Nations Charter. It's a bunch of side agreements and deals the United States cut with the rest of the world in the aftermath of the second world war to imbue us, the United States, with total power and authority over everything....the way the world works, especially financial. So now that the dollar, the petro dollar, touches everything anything that touches the dollar we feel we have a right to sanction and control so we are dictating the global existence to the world that doesn't want to be dictated to and that is what we are running into right now. The world is starting to get tired of American hegemony; they're tired of the arrogance. We call ourselves "the exceptional nation." We say that the world cannot function without us. Well the world is getting ready to say, 'Watch us.'

I think the only negotiation that is going to take place is going to be similar to that which took place on the deck of the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay in September of 1945 or the negotiation that took place in Berlin in 1945 where a German General sat down at a table full of Soviet Generals who said 'Sign the paper or die."

You don’t have any answer for these questions, do you?
How bad does it get before you acknowledge the Russians have been driven backwards since April?
How many months before you caught onto Baghdad Bob’s act?

You don’t have any answer for these questions, do you?

Someone who doesn't seem to understand that this conflict is existential for the Russian Federation, and what that means in the real world, isn't worth answering.

You're a neoconned proxy-war hooligan who's popping off online in support of his warteam.

Don't forget to breathe through your mouth if you start turning blue.

What do you think it means in the 'real world' when Russia has been retreating for months?

You're a neoconned proxy-war hooligan who's popping off online in support of his warteam.

You have my politics completely wrong in this regard. You assume wrongly, when my posting history goes back to 2002 and you'll find consistent, principled opposition even then to the neocons. That having been explained to you, I don't close my eyes to the reality that the Russian army failed in their March objectives, and have been getting pushed backwards for months now.

I don't understand why people follow sources that are demonstrably wrong, for months and months. When I ask them point blank, like you, they prevaricate, dodge, and insult, but can never explain why they don't reject sources that keep failing in their predictions.

So I ask again, why keep listening to Ritter when he keeps being so wrong?

The Russians are slaughtering Ukie cannon fodder. That's the real world.

Who said I listen to Scott Ritter?

I rarely listen to him. Once every month or two if he happens to end up on one of the channels I follow.

Chief of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley: “There will be no military victory for Ukraine in the near future, Russian goals have not been achieved either, but 1/5 of the territory has been occupied. It will be a very difficult goal for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to drive the Russian army out of the occupied territories.” Defense Secretary Austin, standing nearby, agreed: “The fighting will not end in the foreseeable future.”

William baby, 200,000 troops show up on the battle field next month

So far, Russia has deployed at most 200,000. They can not snap their fingers or click their heels and double it, they do not have the logistics and transport capability. Videos of tanks getting blow up look good for morale. Its the destruction of military transportation that is really hurting the Russian army, which is why Russia retreated from Kherson city.

Ritter knows full well the Russian conscription is nothing like how US and NATO call up works. Even if Russia spent the time, they do not have the means to train all those conscripts properly. When the Russian winter offensive Ritter and Macgregor are predicting finally happens, it will not include twice what Russia can deploy, it will not be the size they are hinting, it will cost Russia dearly and they both know it.

The bombing of infrastructure in 2022 and the bombing of infrastructure in 1944 are two different things, but many of the EUkraine hooligans haven’t figured that out yet.

Milley believes the Ukrainians have achieved all they will be able to achieve at this point which is why he has been pushing for negotiations which Scott Ritter correctly points out aren’t going to happen.

An aside: 🇷🇺🇺🇸For the first time ,Russian cyber fighters brought down the official website of the White House.

“The official White House website has a state-approved, military-grade DDOS protection system installed by Automattic Inc,” our comrades at Killnet write.

🎖Responsible for the attack : Killnet , Mirai , Anonymous Russian.

Checking the Server, the site was unavailable from a number of countries at various times

You need to show another diagram with all the missile strikes on infrastructure that has put Ukraine into darkness.

We will see in a few weeks if not days who is really winning. If Russia is on the ropes—the bombings will stop and the Russian army stand down for the winter, letting Ukraine keep up the attack and take The Donbass, it will be more fall backs to the border. If Ukraine is on the ropes, we shall see a Russian advance and more bombings. In any case—it will be over by Christmas, New Years at Best. If Ukraine wins, Mr. Zelenkeyy will get Sevastopol for Christmas. If Russia wins, Putin gets Kiev as a gift, maybe with Zelensky’s head in a basket. Only good thing—NO WW III.

In any case—it will be over by Christmas, New Years at Best.

Keep smoking that hopium.

Barring either an economic collapse by Russia, or NATO pulling the rug out from under Ukraine, there will be at most offensives in the northern or central fronts before new years. This boils down to the fact that an opposed offensive requires a significant cache of supplies, and supply depots take time to build up and in practice the offensive is limited by distance from that forward supply base. I mostly see a long cold miserable winter for most of eastern Europe (especially Ukraine and Russia)

It’s existential for Putin. Ukrainians were showing a way for east Slavs to have a non corrupt, non dictatorial government and that was a threat for Putin
