After Dec 7 1941, the Roberts Commissions were appointed to find out how military brass could allow Pearl to be attacked without preparedness and defense. In the end Admiral Husband E Kimmel was singled out as negligent and demoted - whether fairly or not, historians still argue.
The same kind of inquiry has to happen with FBI leadership regarding the assault on the Capitol on Jan 6, 2021. Was it negligence or incompetence on their part, that this riot/attack/insurrection took place - without FBI warning Congress and the White House of the danger and alerting them that there was need for beefed up security and even National Guard to protect our Seat of Democracy on that day?
In my constitutionally protected opinion, Chris Wray needs to be summoned to an Admiral Kimmel-like hearing.
And Donald Trump needs to be asked whether he regrets hiring Chris Wray.

Well, if this means a large scale investigation, ok. Kimmel is bad example because he was a good commander whose reputation was shredded unfairly.
Kimmel and Short had their characters destroyed to cover for the negligence of National Command Authority, all the way up to FDR. Kimmel later committed suicide.

I think Wray may be the worst of Trumps bad picks and it probably cost him the election. A real FBI head could have got in front of the cheating. Such a wasted opportunity
