WHITTIER, Calif. - A group of law enforcement recruits who attend the S.T.A.R.S. C. Academy in Whittier are in critical condition after they were hit by a car during their morning run, authorities said.

The California Highway Patrol said the incident was reported at 6:30 a.m. near the intersection of Mills Avenue and Telegraph Road.
SkyFOX was over the scene and showed the debris from the wreckage as well as additional patients being triaged by medical personnel.
The victims have been rushed to area hospitals and the suspect is in custody.
No further information was immediately released.

Nope. Sunrise in Whittier was at 6:26am this morning and the light of dawn was at 5:55am.
Perhaps if the driver was headed east he could claim to have been blinded by the rising sun, but I doubt that. However, whatever the cause it was not due to “darkness”.

What’s the over/under that the driver was an impaired illegal alien driving home from the strip club?
That’s possible.
I think Paul Pelosi is innocent on this one because he’s still laid up after the attack.
Even if it was, the reflective vests they were wearing would look like floodlights to a driver.

Driver is a graduate of the Darrell Brooks school of driving.....
I regularly drive through that intersection when I’m heading to and from the 605 freeway.
It’s even safer to use their own track at the academy which is one mile down the road to the east.
