Even though the southern front line is still very active, President Zelensky visited Kherson City and symbolically gave a speech at Freedom Square. As you can see from the map, the nearest Russian positions are only 3 km from where he appeared. This also shows high confidence in the ability of Ukrainian forces to clear the city because, for the last few days, several reports have been saying that the Ukrainians found and detained Russian saboteurs in the city.
In the meantime, a Ukrainians amphibious operation has indeed taken place. At first, the Head of the Presidential Administration hinted that the operation was successful. The Head of the Mykolaiv region also said that Kherson is not yet the end of good news. Next, some sources reported that the Ukrainians took the northern part of Kinburn. Ukrainian unofficial sources started circulating footage of Ukrainian soldiers heading somewhere on boats, although I could not confirm that this is legit footage from the Kinburn operation. Interestingly, if yesterday, Russian sources completely denied that the Ukrainians conducted an attack, then today, they started to report that the operation indeed took place, but that they completely destroyed the attackers. This is very fresh news, but I would not be surprised if the Kinburn peninsula is already under Ukrainian control.

A winter war in Ukraine is hell. The winner, will be the army that can keep its troops feed, supplied with shelter, supplied with munitions, supplied with transportation.
Russia has a hard time outfitting its troops with food, winter clothing, munitions, and transportation. If that continues, by the end of the winter, there will be very few Russian troops alive or not prisoners.

If indeed the Ukrainians have recaptured the Kinburn peninsula the Russian defense along the line of the Dnipro is turned unless local Russian forces can bottle up the Ukrainian forces on the peninsula. The Russians may be withdrawing forces towards the east and southeast to protect the Crimean peninsula and the Melitopol area. They want that land bridge along the coast as the damage to the Kerch bridge impacts supplies going to Crimea. If a southerly Ukrainian thrust drives to the shores of the Sea of Azov the land corridor is cut. Also, almost any point along the shore is within about 95-100 miles of the Kerch bridge. ATACMS range....

Most of the people on FR look at the war objectively, think Russia’s invasion was stupid and think Russia deserves to get their asses kicke for it.

Putinbots think Putin is “fighting for us” against Soros, the WEF and LBGTQIAA2+ agenda, because “Q” told them or some other delusional, gullible reason. he’s not. He’s fighting for Putin. If he wins, he takes away all of the Ukes guns we gave them, and they are ripe for Soros picking.
Russian doesn’t have a realistic path to victory and has not had one since March. It’s been pretty obvious since about May this was case, if you look at the war objectively.

My personal opinion is that the alleged amphibious raid is just a feint. The real attack will come in Zaporizhzhia, heading south. I do think the Russians know that, though.
