He wants to get off scot free.
In the 4th Californians move to Texas video they are at a gun range and say that the rule to always assume a gun is loaded is now called the Alex Baldwin Rule.
I’d like to see a real life Western where a loathesome egocentric Democrat bastard played by Alec Baldwin says: “I’m a victim of murdering that woman, a victim I say. Killing her has cost me money dammit, and I demand compensation.” Then 10,000 defecating long-horns run over him until nothing is left but an ugly stain on the desert floor. The End.
Wants to clear his name?
Sure, but there’s just the smalll matter of the person you shot dead.
File all the lawsuits you want he’s still an dumb Libtard turd who shot 2 people and tried to squirm out
I think hes one of the main people responsible ultimately because he’s the producer and the actor who pointed it at someone/direction rehearsing when maybe he could have rehearsed the move in a safer way. Hes got executive responsibility and personal negligence aiming it somewhere to test a move out that he could have aimed elsewhere.
That said, actors trust armorers and the other director on site who both cleared the weapon on set before handing it to him. Those two people are responsible as well, especially the armorer.
No actor who has been given a firing prop weapon that he’s seen/heard two other people, one being the armorer, say the weapon is clear, would think has an actual live round in it. Even a blank’s wadding can injure/kill if a person is within 10 feet and hit in certain places. But no way would any actor think after a weapon i handed to him by an armorer and told its clear by 2 people that theres a live round in it. I’d look because I just don’t trust anyone. But I can see most people not doing so.
His name is pure Mudd.
Giving Alec Baldwin a gun, knife or even that lefty pair of safety scissors you always got in kindergarten must be an act of negligence. Looks like he's suing everyone involved other than the producer of the movie.
I'm not sure of the others, but from all accounts the armorer lost chain of custody. It was her most critical priority in that job. Unbelievable that the daughter of one of Hollywood's best known armorers didn't know live ammo was on her set (illegal), nor that many handguns were sitting on a movable tray. She screwed up to the max.
While Baldwin was stupid enough to point and pull the trigger, if I was handed a supposedly safe handgun from a professional armorer, maybe I could make the same mistake.
I know the argument is Baldwin should have checked the weapon and ammo, but how many actors can discern from live ammo and blanks, especially after being handed from the armorer?
Still, he may be guilty of involuntary manslaughter. It wasn't even a real scene being filmed, he was playing around and killed the woman out of stupidity.
his hand aimed the gun.
his eye knew where it was pointed.
his thumb cocked the hammer.
his finger pulled the trigger.
he done made it go bang.
its gonna stick to him worse than a full diaper!!
He killed her on purpose. That is the only thing that makes sense.
Did Hannah pull the trigger and kill someone? No.
Did Dave Halls pull the trigger and kill someone? No.
Only Baldwin aimed, fired, and killed someone.
Were the other two negligent in their duties? Probably.
Were the other two the director and producer of the movie? No. Baldwin was the man in charge of the entire fiasco.
as much as i detest baldwin, the fbis said they found 50 live rounds on the set... ooops
The entire production was a safety s**** show from the getgo. But he was in charge, the gun was in his hand, and being an ignorant narcissist he didn’t bother to learn the rudimentary function of the weapon and slip fired it. Any cowboy shooter of modest experience could have done a better job with weapon safety.
He will never clear his name.
For one thing, HE is the one who pointed the gun at her and pulled the trigger.
And as director, HE is the one responsible for all the actions of the cast and crew under him.
He killed her, no matter how much he tries to justify himself or rationalize away his responsibility for it.
He Wants to ‘Clear His Name’
He is on film killing the woman. He is guilty.
Clear his name? So....what? He’s not an imbecile after all?
He picked up the gun. Failed to check it. Pointed at another human and pulled the trigger. He failed gun handling 101.
At a minimum, it’s involuntary manslaughter.
